The sheets and certainly towels were changed every day but I did feel this was much more a business hotel as meetings were taking place in the general lounge area every day - a bit off putting when you are on holiday.
our towels were changed not our sheets, yes there were business people around lounge when we were there and reserved tables in restaurant, ive written a complaint letter and sent copy to ros too , have you heard anything yet
Not had a reply to my letter of complaint as yet - writting a follow up today
No mention of my letter of complaint to them for compensation for loss of facilities ( indoor pool etc)
ive had a letter back from instant holidays just saying looking into my complaint thats all, i know what the reply eventually will be ,i know im going to have to go down solicitor route so ive sent all info to ros already she happy to accept this on no win no fee so thats good
still not heard a thing from instant holidays have you diane, ive filled in hotel details on the hotel review might be a good idea for you to do the same as we experienced similar problems, keep me updated how you get on
i know im going to have to go down solicitor route
Not necessarily. If you were suing for personal injury I would recommend you did, but suing a tour operator in the small claims court for breach of contract and/or negligence is very straightforward, & the CAB and/or your local trading standards office will help you fill the forms in.
youve got a strong case, dont give up, you will get results, maybe they will think twice before treating anyone else so badly in the future
The amount of successfully proven litigation cases against TO / TA, they never seem to learn!

If you want to see the travel industry clean up its act, then the answer is to persist with your complaint if you find yourself on the recieving end of such treatment, and if you don't get a satisfactory response, then sue. A court appearance will cost a travel company well over and above the level of damages that most people are likely to be claiming for in cases such as this, and if they have any sense, they'll agree a settlement before it reaches that stage.
Yes, they'll try and give you as little as possible and drag it out for as long as possible, as most people will give up after a while. For every 1 person that takes the claim all the way, they'll be 100 others who don't bother.
thanks for all this encouragement, ive still not heard a thing from them , i did send all the paperwork ,complaint letters etc to ros as im getting married in turkey next month and dont need this extra hassle, its one less thing to worry about if they deal with it for me, she has also written them a letter ,ill keep you updated as the outcome is helpful for others that might have similar problem
good luck, and all the best for your wedding!
update , still total silence from them, cant believe this, so much for them having 28 days to reply !!! been back around 6 weeks now
I have a problem with something else. It wasn't a holiday, but my mobile phone which was faulty. Orange refused to send me another one, despite me continually stating the Sales of Goods Act to them. I had several telephone calls, which resulted in them fobbing me off, despite me stating the LAW to them. When I threatened them with a solicitor, I got a new phone the next day.
I know it's unrelated, but it might be worth a try.
Good Luck!
They can be find by ATBA for not replying within the 28 days. Their ABTA number is F4247.
ive already got ros involved and and she wrote to them aswell for me, i got a reply from them about 8th april only saying we are looking into this for you and i havent heard a thing since, not sure if this counts as a reply 28 days or should i have received a full response to my complaint, although i dont think they have replied to ros's letter yet, im going to give ros a ring now see if they have heard anything
just spoken to the solicitors and they have received a letter yesterday saying they are looking into my complaint please give them more time, delaying tactics i think, ill keep you updated on this
Thanks Ellie and good luck
