If the Post office website says it has been delivered then you should be able to track your application on the VFS website but it has been taking a good few days for applications to appear so I wouldn't start panicking yet.

If you can't see the electronic signature on the royal mail website give them a call and they will tell you who signed for it I use this site at least 2 or 3 rimes a week for work and am always ringing up as the signature doesn't always appear.

Good luck

If it says it has been delivered don't panic. Ours were re-directed from Birmingham and are now under process according to website - took ages for anything to show up, and couldn't get proof of signature either. Hoping now by Tuesday they will be on there way back to us - all correct I hope !

Hi Spike
I'm glad to see that your applications weren't returned to you as I thought they might be when you said you'd sent them to Birmingham. :tup

They seem to decide on an ad-hoc basis whether to forward them onto Hayes or return them so I guess someone was smiling on you when they opened your packet.

Re checking for delivery on the RM website, I just check to see if it has been delivered (I don't check for signature).
What I probably think happens is that somebody (maybe on Reception?) signs for the packet, then it sits on somebody's desk until they get round to dealing with it and it's at that point that they start updating the VFS on-line tracking part.
Some people have not been able to track their applications on VFS for several weeks after RM had delivered the packet - but I think that backlog seems to have cleared a bit now.

Thing is - what are they going to change next year ?
The website is a shambles, and not easy to follow, the tracking is too slow and the new photo sizes are a waste of time and money.
Sure, some people have not had a problem, but looking through this site and others, many have (even returning regulars).
I think it could be simplified without great cost, then again..

On holiday in Goa at Xmas our taxi driver told us his brother works for the government in Goa and that there were going to be big changes to the visa system over the next year or two and they would be for the better, lets hope so, they couldn't get any worse.

Eventually got my forms filled in this morning and dropped them off at the Visa Centre in Glasgow. Was in and out of there in less than half an hour, so that was good.
Thanks this morning to Jane, Spike and Feelthevibe who helped me out when I had a few problems completing the forums, your help is much appreciated :tup

Processed application has been handed over to Royal Mail/DX secured mail on 08-Feb-2011. You can track the movement of your application envelope on the website using the Royal Mail/DX reference number on your receipt.

my app was updated to this today, but i dont have a receipt to track, will they email it?

also can it still come back with no visa in it with this status?

Snowster
did you pay for delivery by DX courier or enclose a RM prepaid special Delivery Envelope?

If by RM, did you take a note of the unique ref number on the SDE?
If you didn't you won't be able to track return.
If you did, go to the RM website and use the ref number to track return.

If by courier, I'm not sure how you track it.

I think if it says 'processed application' you've got your visa.

Oops! Just filled our visa forms in for the third time.

First time we had them checked and they needed two postcodes.

Second time we had them checked I had left the port blank.

They are finally on the way. Fingers crossed everything is okay and we get our visas

Mine were posted a week ago, they were received the next day at Heyes, still nothing showing yet though. The reason I am a bit worried is I dated the declaration wrong :banghead: so i think they may be returned & I may have to re-do them, post them away again & then another anxious wait.My holiday is the 11th March.xx
