Hi all
Finally completed forms and printed. Went to pay but got the error message invalid query parameters!
Anyone else had this and how did you get round it?
Thanks
Nanette
Been trying to pay for my visas, but keep getting the message "invalid parameter query"
My OH tells me this is a server issue, could it have occurred as it is Diwali and the processing centre is shut, so no progammers to fix it?
I may try to pay the old fashioned way, with postal orders!
Nanette, yes they are shut for Diwali, try again later today
Just tried again, same message, ill have another go at lunchtime
If all else fails, I think you can still pay the old fashioned way with postal orders?

Hay hay, got my visa back, I took the passport to the local Asian travel agents, they filled everything in paid 60 pounds each, got them back 7 days later. roll on December the 11TH.
Its obviously a question of individual choice but I am not prepared to pay up to double what I need to
i've completed my web application, other than passports, photos, signed application forms and self addressed Special Delivery envelopes, is there anything else i need to send? done this twice before but can i hell remember
Declaration forms and make sure photos are 2"x2" and you sign underneath the one you paste to the front page. Also, if you paid online, include the payment proof.

Hope this link works:

The 2nd photo should be stapled to page 2 (paperclip OK).
Don't forget to make a note of the ref number of both the SDE so you can track them.

I've always done it myself but I can see why some people (maybe not used to filling forms in or not computer-savvy) would choose to use a visa agent.
I don't think there's anything wrong with choosing an agent but what annoys me is some of the agents website are designed to look very official and don't actually tell you they are an agent who charge over-and-above the VFS charges.
I was sat next to a lady on the plane coming home last year and she was insistant that visas were £60 each (we'd paid £30 + £9.05 admin fee), I said she must have used an agent but she said she'd gone through the official website - but she couldn't have done to pay that much.

Thanks for your help.... Is there any way to access my payment details again? I didn't print out the receipt

jph77, if you go to "submit your application" then "online application procedure", under "modify appointment" click "create/reschedule/cancel appointment then click "appointment/make a payment" You can then put in your GBRL number, DOB and print
jph77, sorry, that is how to reprint the visa form, I'm not sure you can reprint the payment form. I would put in a short letter saying you have paid online with any reference number you have
Hoooray,Visa's back today. 11 days from posting to return and that includes a weekend and an indian holiday(i think). Roll on Jan.1st
Hi does anyone know whether you can go to the Bham visa office with all your forms and get ur visa the same day without leaving ur passport with them?
It's been about 3 years since the Indian High Commission outsourced its visa services to VFS and same day visas stopped when this happened. VFS process the applications and send to the High Commission to obtain the visa so this extra admin makes the process take longer. The quickest turnaround these days is about 2-4 days, depending on how busy they are and if you drop off and collect in person.
