Really pleased for you, the postal strike was one worry too far.
If I was still to apply I would take the courier option without hesitation.
Is that better Dave. .Well this has certainly made me rethink the post service.the next time I apply will be courier also.Hope it will help others in future too.Thank you for all the help you have given me over the last agonising days.XX
I'm so glad that you've finally got your visas - hope you have a fab holiday.
it all went very smoothly, I am not much of a flapper but I do tend to relax more when I get our visas back Roll on Christmas
So pleased for you, it must have been a nightmare, have a great time, and I truly hope it will have been worth all the worry.

Just a quick query on what I am sending
I intend to send the application form (completed online), and will sign the bottom (even though there is no where that says sign here!
2x passport picis
my passport
do they need anything else?
I have the address down as Hayes Middlesex, although I live in Sheffield South York's is this correct?
Thanks for you help!
If you haven't paid VFS to return them, don't forget to enclose SDE envelope.
There should be a small space at the bottom of the form for a signature and date.
Good luck!!!
What option have you chosen for return?
If by Special Delivery, you'll need to include the SDE for return.
Yes, send to Hayes.
Personally I would have opted to pay for a special courier return and not included an SDE just in case the post strike escalates.
I told you you will have them back on Saturday im so pleased for you yeee haaaa colleen
Brilliant news Franny
Colleen Iam really excited.Just the packing to do now.Goa here I come. Good luck to everyone else waiting for the visas to be delivered & happy holidays.XX
I have opted for them to send me my doc's via their courier. Just in case!
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
It should be headed "India Visa Application" and it's clearly got a place for a signature at the bottom.
reprinted it looks fine now, CHEERS
Forgot to mention I went for single entry instead of multipule is this a problem? I only intend to visit once in the next 6mths
Thrilled for you Franny Ive been watching and hoping you got good news.
so ready for my holiday 23rd nov (baga for 4 weeks).. have not sorted visa out yet though !!!!!! completed on line (bit of a pain) paid on line (wish now i hadnt) then advised by birmingham visa dept not to post signed visa form , passports etc because of postal strikes, advised to take in person then collect 2 to 3 days later which is 2 hours journey there and 2 hours back. my friend went to birmingham saturday to visit relative who happens to work in visa dept , my friend was told birmingham are not dealing with the sending out of visas now and we need to visit dept in bolton... going to contact the departments tomorrow to find out exactly what the carry on is and who now has my £145 fee. will let you know the outcome when i have spoken to someone direct. is anyone else having similar problems ?
