Luckily ours only took a week, but for just that week I was on tenderhooks as I was sure I had not signed my signature exactly as it was on the passport. We will get two hols out of this visa, first 14th of next month and then again in February, but I think we might give India a miss next year and return to Thailand. All this hassle, it makes me wonder if they really want tourists in Goa.
I do hope yours is a success story and I'm sure it will be, so many people have sweated this year, but I don't know anyone who has failed to get them in time, even though some went in person in the end and collected them. Kind regards.
Does anyone know wether the post strike will effect the delivery of visas
There's a statement about Special Delivery packages on the RM website:

Franny
Ive learned to not trust the online status.. It was telling us they had no record of My Sisters Passport/Application but it turned up with her Husbands complete with Visa 7 days after posting them off to VFS
Hi everyone its me again to let you know that as of this morning the system is saying -under process as of 21st.Just hope they come out in time.Still fingers, toes & eyes crossed.xx
Hi Franny ours only took 4 days to arrive after it showed under process so you should be OK
Just a little question,Because of this post strike do you think it will be better for me to ask for the visas to be sent out by their courier & maybe pay the extra on line,I have enclosed the next day delivery envelopes that were £5 each but dont mind paying the extra if it meant I would get them sooner.x
I think you might confuse the issue further if you try and change now. The special delivery envelopes are guaranteed next day delivery but they have suspended this for the next couple of days, but only the next couple of days. Your delivery will be fine for next week.
Eeee Franny this is like a soap I keep tuning in to find out the latest! But seriously I can feel it will be ok and you should get them by special delivery next tues or wed .Good Luck
Hi winterpansy, glad you're enjoying the saga keep tuned in for the latest instalment. But seriously though it's been a nightmare this year with the first application being returned because of a stupid issue.Hope there's a happy ending to it .xx
It says on their website that the visa might take longer to issue because of the postal strike. Lets keep our fingers crossed that the posties don't strike for too long!!
Eeee Franny this is like a soap I keep tuning in to find out the latest im the same I log in a few times a day to read up on it I still think you will get them on sat franny,,,,colleen if you want you can come to our the visa people party we have one every november
So perhaps we could persuade the BBC to commission a new soap. An every day story of every day folk and how their lives intertwine around a visa application office?
Oh well if nothing else I have had a laugh at the comments today. Thanks guys.
