We are thinking of going to Kos in june, having never been before can anyone give me some advice on the tours available from this resort? We would like to do some island hopping, any advice on destinations and cheapest booking would be very welcome.
I take it you have had a peep on the justkos web site for some ideas. There are a couple of other islands you can reach easily Nisyros with the volcano or Kalymnos. I believe you could due a day trip to Turkey from Kos Town when I was there but that is several years ago.
bubble beach... day out by coach
Kos by night ... 4 hr coach trip
Sunset in Zia evening trip depending on sunset time
round the island day out by coach
Afternoon in Zia 5 hr coach trip
Greek night out 4 hrs by coach
all the following are boat trips....
Nisyros day trip
Bodrum [turkey] day trip.... you will need your passports] from Kos town or Kardamina]
Turgut Reis [Turkey] from Kos town for the market
sunset cruse 3 hrs
3 bay cruse [inc BBQ] day trip
4 bay cruse [inc BBQ] day trip
Kaliminos day trip
3 island cruse [Inc BBQ] day trip
Rhodes day trip [long time on the boat]
fun fishing day trip
there is something to think about.

Thats great, thanks very much.
Anyone recommend any good trips from Kos please. Don't want long coach journeys, lots of pick ups
merged into the Kos thread, if you look a couple of post up the page you will find my recommendations
Does anyone know if long dress shorts for men are allowed in the restaurants on an evening please
Hi - can anyone tell me about the mossie situation in late September please? We are arriving at 9.30 pm - should we be covered in juice for the journey from the airport to Kos Town? We are using local mini-coach transfer. Thanks!
Heard of the rumours re prices and stuff, have one friend in Iraklion who says there has been minor rises, just wanted to confirm.
If you've just returned from Kos or other islands this month, what are the prices like currently.
We are used to spending 2.50 - 3 euros for a pint/bottle of Mythos in a bar
95 cents for 500 ml mythos in supermarket.
5-6 euros for cocktails
10 euros for a main course
KTEL buses just about anyway for 4 euros or less
any other staple supply prices feel free to contribute, just want to get a feel if it's likely to be much more expensive this year
you do not say when you last went? so all i can say is most prices this year [we went to Zakynthos] were not much different to last year, with the exception of Smokes and fuel, saw an article in one of this morning's red tops [sorry cant remember which] which had Greece listed in third place for the cost of a self catering holiday placing it ahead of Turkey [where prices i understand have gone up quite a bit]
depending where you chose to shop and drink will make a difference we found one place where a large and a small Mythos cost 3.50 euro

we go to one of the Greek islands every year, last time being Crete last year. On hearing rumours of price hikes just wanted to check for def as the prices throughout the various islands tend to pretty much mirror each other, just wanted to confirm that there had been no major hikes (which your reply seems to have done)
Smokes and fuel wont affect us as we don 't smoke or rent cars (find the KTEL service pretty reliable throughout the various islands.)
At least we can go now knowing there are going to be no major shocks
roisindubh wherabouts in Kos are you going and when? We are going 21st july to Tingaki.
Going to Kos town 19th August for two weeks. Originally went in 2005, fell in love with the place and decided to go back this year to get married
Will post on prices when we get back , we went to Kefalonia last year and have based our spending money on what we spent then. Hoping things haven't gone up too much!
We're taking a lot more money this time than last so we can do all the trips we missed out last time
Thats the one trip we are definitely planning on doing! Cant wait now, 3 weeks thursday!
Luluyorks where are you staying in Tingaki, we are thinking of going to Mayflower Apts in August. Will be first visit to Kos for us
M
Hi Margaret, we are staying at the Filitsa Apartments, our first time to Kos too. Ive heard Mayflower is really nice but not many reviews where we're going. We're used to 'basic' having been to other Greek islands, at the end of the day its just somewhere to have a shower and sleep. We only have breakfast in apartment and eat out every night, I dont go on holiday to cook!! Louise x
We have been going to Kardamena every Sept except last year.
