Anyone going to icmeler this year the mosquitos seem to be super strength.
I get bit every year and I use ever potion and lotion under the sun as well as taking antihisemeans (can't spell!!!) but this year they seem imune to everything. I have got some nasty scars on my arms that have still not healed propely and my daughter who never gets bit looked like she had chicken pox.
Anything that anybody recommends take it and use just in case.

We are off to thailand this summer. Have seen the recommendation re Avon SSS dry oil spray. Have got a brochure and there are 2 - pink soft and sensual and green soft and fresh. Can anyone tell me what the difference is and which is the best.
Thanks
It needs to be the green one this is the one that has the stuff in it that the mozzies dislike.
Regarding the Avon SSS. It is the Soft & Fresh Fragrance that you need in the Dry Oil Body Spray in the green bottle. It was previously known as Woodland Fresh but as many companies do on various products Avon changed the fragrance name. It is not sold as a mozzie repellent but for some reason this fragrance in the Dry Oil body spray works wonders.
I am an Avon rep and I can honestly say that every one of my customers who go on holiday buy this product. My son always takes a bottle when he goes night fishing. I also have many customers who buy it to use when they take their dogs for walks in the evening.

This is the reason
Citronella oil is one of the ingredients of Avons SSS...0.10% derived from Cymbopogon Winteratus which is a variety of the citronella plant. .....thats the secret folks of why it works

There website doesnt work anymore, i tried boots and asda.
I am going to Turkey and where we are going has a lot i think and i have a baby so want to be well covered.
I have got the Avon aftersun with repellent in it and mozzie plugs for the room.....anything else?
Not sure im keep on oil spray....greasy???? and i thought if i have the aftersun one it might be just as good?
Thanks Vicky
The Avon SSS Dry Oil Body Spray is exactly what it says, DRY. Although it sprays on in oil form when it is rubbed in it is dry not at all greasy
Hope this helps

I recently got back from the Pegasos Palace where there is quite a mozzie problem. I used Avon Skin So Soft 'Soft & Fresh' Body Souffle each evening in place of my normal body lotion and rather than after sun, I didn't get a single bite. The rest of my family insisted on using repellent sprays, in fact my husband used so much I'm amazed anything or anyone went near him, and they all got bitten badly, in fact one of my daughter's friends asked her if she had chicken pox her legs were so bad. Sinkov, bought at the hotel, did seem more effective than some repellents, but didn't prevent all bites. My Avon lady dropped the new book to me yesterday and I see the 'soft and fresh' is buy 1 get 1 free, I'm tempted to stock up for next year.
Glad it worked for you. I am an Avon rep and believe me this is one product Avon will never discontinue due to the amount of sales they make of it. Wouldn't worry too much about stocking up for next year, it will always be available and normally on some offer or another.

Sorry for the lateness thanks for your help no joy from automated customer service but managed to find a local on the net fingers crossed that I get the order before I go on 25th
well, i came back from fuerteventura yesterday, i took only avon ss stuff, and a little pot of "badgers" ( from boots)its lemon and stuff in a gel that you just put tiny bit on, used this for the kids.
Just to let you all know I ordered from the Avon site on the internet and it came within 3 days. Excellent service and now have 2 bottles of the dry oil spray, however I did order more bits and pieces once I was on the site....I know I should not have but well!
I've been in town today lookingfor citronella candles to put on the table on the balcony but can't find them anywhere.
I use these when we go they are available in many placesi.e Morrisons supermarkets.probably health shops cut price stores.I usually buy mine when I get to destination in supermarket or small shops as they are very popular abroad.
Can you get three pin mozzie plugs over here or does anyone know if they sell them in Cyprus.
I'm sure I've seen the Jungle Formula liquid plug-in with 3 pins in Boots. They had a choice of 2-pin or 3-pin when I was there.
