SCUD,

Anything for definate on the LGW-SFB flight?

Nothing as yet. You've picked a bad time to fly being the transition between winter and summer! I guess you'll find out in the morning for sure. Have a great time.

MYT's aircraft are quite well equiped in cattle class, you get personal drinking troughs in the seat backs and new straw on the floor. Premium passengers get milking machines, quite posh! Seriously though, where are your flying from? It'll either be an Airbus A330-243 or Boeing 767-31K. The A332 is configured 3-3-3 for the most part and the 763 2-4-2. Both have 30" seat pitch. The A332's have the advantage of seat back IFE and are very nice aircraft. If you can let us know when you are flying and from which airport, we can have a look for you.

markas,

My personal opinion is MYT's economy section is adequate. I've flown on their A332's on 3 occasions and although I like MYT as an airline and their A332's are very nice aircraft (I love the external flight cameras), my preference lies with FCA at the moment. If you're flying May 2008, I beleive you'll be on their A332's but its too early to say for sure. It would be wrong of my to say if its worth upgrading because its very much personal preference, its up to you to decide. Economy is 30" seat pitch compared to 35" in Premier Gold. You are essentialy paying for the extra seat pitch although you obviously get the extra luggage allowance, express check-in, complimentory drinks etc as well. Yes it is nice, but its up to you to decide if its worth the extra money.

Mark,

If you read through this thread, you'll find most of the answers you are looking for. IFE depends on the aircraft assigned. MYT have a wide range of drinks and some snacks available for purchase. You'll receive a hot meal a couple of hours after take off and a light snack before landing.

We are flying from Manchester FCA 2444 and 2445 back from Thessalonika. Are we on a 757 or 767. Been flying with First choice (old air 2000) for years, my favourite too. :D
Weve been visiting Thessalonika for a few years now, went from London Gatwick too last year to save over a grand.
In 2005 we got a plane from manchester which was knewly kitted out with individual row tvs which were flip down ones rather than the one as big as a television set are we lucky enough to get that one?

PS why has there been a plane sat at Thessalonika airport for years doing nothing but rotting. :?:

I think this would have been better posted in the First Choice thread rather than MY Travel if you're flying with FCA!!

Your flight is scheduled to be operated with a Boeing 757-200. Flight FCA2444 departs MAN at 07:20 for its 3hrs 30mins flight to SKG, arriving 12:50z. Star class on these aircraft have nice green leather seats and IFE is provided via ceiling mounted CRT screens. It sounds like you travelled on one of MYT's Airbus A320/1's last time.

Do you know which airline it belongs to or what airctaft type it is? You may mean the the ex-Malex Tu154 which is stored at the airport because it had a landing gear problem and was damaged during landing. Its been there some years apparantly. I don't have any photo's of Malev Tu154's, but is the plane similar to this one? or this Sud Caravelle which is also at the airport?

OOPS!
I dont know how I managed to post in the wrong forum, what a goon! :bhead
Never mind, anyway I think it was the second plane you mentioned at Thessalonika ( Macedonia airport)
I havent travelled with MYT since 1994 (Airtours) when we was delayed for ever :x , we only go on holiday with First choice now (or the flower plane as my kids call it) Its been our lucky plane for years.

Central 16,

You'll find loads of information on this thread as well as the dedicated Direct Holidays thread. Seat pitch on their aircraft is 30" in economy and 35" in Premier Gold. I don't mind My Travel, my opinions are all over this thread.

My Travel use Airbus A320/1-200's on their short haul routes. Your flight will be opperated by an Airbus A321-200. The newly aquired ex-FCA G-OOAF, now registered G-OMYK opperated last weeks flight on 4th May.

That would have been one of their Boeing 767-31K's which are predominantly used on long haul routes these days. MYT are a decent airline, I'd have no problem flying short haul with them.
