Summer 08 bookings.

Just a word of warning for anyone who's booked for next summer regarding flight details.

We booked to fly to Dom Rep. 2ND SEPT 08; outbound we were due to fly mytravel and inbound thomas cook on 26TH SEPT. A couple of weeks ago I received another invoice. Have to admit didn't read it properly at first because just thought I had got it as had recently made a payment off balance. Once i did read it flights have been changed -- not just on times but dates and no covering letter accompanied to advise. we now fly on the 4TH SEPT returning 28TH SEiPT and both inbound and outbound are with Thomas Cook airlines. I presume this is due to the merger and fleet rationalisation mentioned in the Thomas Cook Group Interim report.

This MAY however have implications for other expected mytravel flights also, so please check your details carefully.

Anyone any idea what in-flight entertainment is currently being shown.

I went to an earlier link, and it keeps mentioning the programme for 'seat-back' entertainment (mentioning two movies - Charlottes web and the music one with BEYONCE - and programmes for 30,60 and 90 minute cycles. )

I realise that my flight will have drop down screens not these seat back ones - so what movie/programme/cycle should I expect ???

Any help is appreciated.

Anyone flown recently? I am just confused by the information on the Recline link regarding the entertainment.

It still mentions 'Main Film' and 'Childrens Choice', and '30 min cycles' etc. But it all points to seat back television. (i.e. screens that the viewer controls). I will not have that luxury!!

What do they stick on main drop down screens.? Is it childrens film, main film (spiderman3).,or is it just up to stewardess to stick on her choice??????

Hi we are flying out to Goa in Nov, originally booked with Thomas Cook, but now on MyTravel flight (MYT95) out of Manchester. Anyone know what plane this is likely to be and what we are likely to have in way of IFE, etc. Bit worried as I have read quite a few bad reports bout MYT being cramped, cold, lack of blankets, miserable crew etc. HELP!

I can't be 100% sure because they haven't started the winter schedules as yet. However, I'm pretty sure it'll be a Boeing 767-31K. These are equiped with ceiling mounted IFE above the isles. Remind me at the beginning of November and I'll check ACARS for you.
