robbie,

MYT067/8 have been operated by the following during November:

4th Nov: Airbus A330-243 G-OMYT
10th Nov: Airbus A330-243 G-MDBD
17th Nov: Boeing 767-31K/ER G-SJMC

Your guess is as good as mine at the moment!

MYT's longhaul flights over the winter season are being operated by Boeing 767's. The A330's are on lease to MyTravel Scandinavia and Garuda for the Hadj flights. The A330's are due back around march/april time when there due for a repaint and refit.

dazbo5 do you have a link to show the seating plan for the 767 which will now be used for the goan flights in december ,,many thanks-and are these older aircraft as from what i have been reading seems to be that they are fairley worn and torn to the airbus planes...

robbie,

MYT don't produce a seating plan for the 763. The closest is Monarchs (which is an ex-MYT aircraft), click here. The 763's are older than the A332's, but still relatively young as far as aircraft go. The 763's were built in 1994, the A332's in 1999.

Hello there any guys here know what happened to the mytravel flight from glasgow to lanzarote yesterday morning. I am just back from lanzarote this morning, nine hours late. We arrived at airport yesterday to be informed that our flight was over 6 hours delayed due to a fault with the flight coming from glasgow in the morning(myt965), however things got worse they then informed us in departure lounge that our flight was getting re directed to prestwick instead of glasgow as glasgow was doing maintenance on runway as we would be arriving at glasgow at 3am instead of 9pm and the runway was getting shut at 11pm. So we were not sure what was going on, they had to bus us to glasgow airport which was another hour on the journey. The bus company told us they had known from wednesday that this was the arrangement. On the way out we flew on a boeing 757-200 which was quite old looking i must say, we flew with mytravel loads of times to lanzarote and planes were quite newish, on the way back we were put on a flight that we think came from gatwick and it was a 757-200 but it was even older, with only one tv screen. There was talk amongst us passengers as on wednesday afternoon a flight leaving lanzarote airport got into trouble on take off and one of the engines caught fire and the bangs coming from it was really loud, we could hear it from our villa , we also could see it and so did many of the passengers, we tried to find out what happened the story was a bird but we were all wondering it if maybe have been our plane as some one in airport was overheard saying it was a plane bound for britain.

kazaa,

My Travel (before the TCX merger) got rid of there 757-200's a while back. About November 2005 if my memory serves me right. MYT have a relatively young fleet of Airbus A320 and A321's which is what you'll have flown on in the past. Since MYT is no more and its now Thomas Cook Group, your recent flights were operated by Thomas Cook Boeing 757-200's. I'm not sure which exact aircraft your outbound flight was operated by, but your inbound flight was operated by G-FCLE which was manufactured in 1998. It's still a relatively young aircraft; My Travel operated the oldest 752's in the UK up until they retired them 2 years ago, airframes from 1982. I flew on her sister ship, G-FCLG last year. I can't help with the cause of your delay I'm afraid.

The aircraft you heard with a problem taking off from Arrecife was a Thomsonfly Boeing 757-200 on its was back to Manchester (TOM1944) which had an engine surge in the starboard engine on climb-out and diverted to nearby Fuerteventura. The aircraft landed safely and a replacement aircraft sent out to take passengers home. TOM have had a nightmare year with there 752's.

suntanman1,

Are you on the MYT047/8? I belive these are operated by the Boeing 767-31K's (the A332's are on Hajj lease to Garuda Indoneasia at the moment). There isn't a seating plan available. However, Monarch has one which is close enough (it's an ex-MYT aircraft), click here.

Have a great time,

2-4-2 with 30" seat pitch in economy. Premier Gold is 2-2-2 with 35" seat pitch (first 5 rows).

Premier Gold is limited to the first 5 rows (30 seats) on the 767's. The remainder of the front cabin are economy seats. Prem Gold and economy are seperated by a curtain.
