May I add my best wishes to all - a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year with lots of escapes from the UK weather to warm, welcoming Tenerife. MyraLock
A very happy new year to all,
Happy New Year everyone!...still partying!
happy new year to all for 2006 and happy holidays for all
Happy New Year to all!!!!!!!Just listening to OASIS FM streamed through my Laptop and wishing I was there!!
is anybody around at the moment or is it just me??????????
At 2:09am in the morning I think you could be the only one on the site.
Can someone tell me the wavelength for Oasis, we couldn't find it over Christmas when we were there?
Thanks
We will be in Fanabe area for New Year's Eve 2006, is there an admission charge for bars like St Eugen's and the Moonlight bar and do you have to book.
We have spent christmas and new year in Tenerife for the last ten years or so. We have never had to book or pay to get in anywhere. I am sure there are probably some restaurants that you may have to book and I am sure someone else will be able to advise you of which ones. You must go down to the beach in Fanabe new years eve for midnight. It is a great atmosphere and you will be able to see almost every firework display along the coast
Hope this helps

u are advised to book into san eugen it gets very busy and there is standing room only which is very uncomfortable and after awhile u get fed up with drinks being spilt over you but its great if you book because u then have a table for as long as u want it
Personally I wouldn't book anywhere. You will easily get into a restaurant for a meal in the evening, and you don't want to be stuck inside somewhere at midnight. Like I said in a previous post you need to be on the front at midnight for the firework displays. Last New Year we went down to Fanabe beach and with all the bars along there you didn't know who was drinking in what bar because everyone was outside on the prom and mixing together anyway - great atmosphere - kids loved it - real party feel where everyone mingled and spoke to each other. You would have thought we went with a large crowd of mates if you had seen us but it was actually only hubby, me and two of the kids.
Regards
Will take your advice Jackie we have only just got back from Tenerife and the thought of being outside one of the bars at Fanabe beach at midnight watching the fireworks seems to be much better than covered in beer in St Eugenes
Any good tips on airlines/apartment rentals/reasonably priced package deals will be appreciated, as I also want to be watching the fireworks at midnight
Thanks
Stephen.
I think you will find that the price of flights are higher at that time of the year as everyone wants some sunshine then. Last year we paid £250.00 each that was for 2 adults and 2 kids (although they are charged the same). My eldest son came out on the 2nd January with his mate and they paid £120.00 each.
Sorry but I don't think there are any 'bargains' to be had in Tenerife at that time of year, but I would not go anywhere else, it is worth every penny.
Rgds Jackie
But I also agree, you will have a brill time over the Xmas period and New Year if you do go to Tenerife.
Its just that we don't like getting ripped off and we can get around it we will.
