Myself and my husband are looking to escape the cold weather and the kids for a week away for New Years ... we always go to Tenerife each August with the kids but have never been this time of year or by ourselveves Is the weather ok? average temps? Do the bars and clubs stay open the same? Sorry if my questions seem a bit repetitive, but it will be my husbands 40th Birthday on New Years eve so I would like to make it special.
Many thanks
Claire
Salvaje a fewv years ago. Its the first time me and my family have been abroad over the xmas/New year period. Anyway my friends haave booked for us all to go to Teppanyaki in the safari center las americas on New years eve. Does anyone know of the nearest firework display to there please or any other celebratons that go on
As far as i know there is a fireworks display viewable from the upper level of the safari center. My friends were over last year and are returning this, they watched the display from Harrys Bar which is just across from Teppanyaki. The only problem they had was trying to get a taxi home. From personal experience i can thouroughly recommend Teppanyaki.Roll on February when i can return once more .Have a great time.
I can definitely recommend that Teppanyaki too. It is great
Thanks for that guys . I must say we are all looking forward to it!
Slowboat Teppanyaki and Bianco at the Safari C.C....also two of my most favourite restaurants...can't wait to go back!
yes my brother ate at the teppanyaki , we also ate next door at the steak house and i can honestly say it was the worst meal ive eaten in a long time ,
hi im staying club villamar in an apt from 29th dec can anyone give me directions to good pubs clubs restaurants in that area please We like a good time live entertainment also are we far from firework display in the fanabe area and are there plenty of bars to stand outside and watch them first timer south tenerife
You're in an ideal location to watch the firework displays. Go to any of the bars along the front at Fanabe Beach on New Years Eve and it is like one big party.
are there plenty of bars beside us any u can recommend also how far into playa americas - taxi ride? thanks
Dont rely on taxis newyears eve or on the 5th of jan, just go walking distance on these dates,

Where is club villamar app? we are flying out on the 29 also, staying a La Siesta hotel, where are you flying from?

Villamar is in Las Americas - so you won't need a taxi. It's slap bang on the sea front behind the Bouganville. Loads of bars/restaurants etc within a couple of minutes walk.
The Villamar is ideally situated for lots of good bars and restaurants, you can either walk along the beach front in either direction where you will find some nice family places or walk up the hill past the Bouganville Playa, across the road you have some nice bars and restaurants. If you turn left and walk approx 500mtrs just past the shopping precinct you have a wonderfull family caberet bar/restaurant called Eugenes, and lots lots more.
Lucky you being in tenerife for new year.
Also your apts are in a great location for some fantastic bars.
On the road at the back of your apts are the star bar, great for bingo, the pheasant plucker cracking little bar with a great new compare, you need to get in early though to get a seat.
Further along by the san eugino shopping center is the fantastic san euginos bar, here you can see some great shows and acts. Across the road from this is the temple bar with the fantastic liam on guitar.
Also down by the harbour there are some great little bars.
Enjoy yourselves whilst in las americas.
Just returned from a fab holiday . Spent New years Eve at Teppanyaki in Las Americas. Fab food. Then at midnight we all went out on the balacony at Safari Centre to watch the most fab firework display set behind the Mare Nostrum resort. Would reccomend New Year in Tenerife DEFFO!!!
We spent Xmas & New Year in Tenerife. On New Years Eve we ate in The Original Bistro in Los Cristianos and then went down to the front by the harbour beach for the fireworks. There were actually three separate displays, the first seemed to be down towards the Gran Arona hotel followed by another that appeared to be on the top of the Princesa Dacil Hotel. The third one was directly in front of us from the harbour wall. All of the displays were fantastic and seemed to go on forever. The atmosphere was great with people from all of the bars and restaurants lined up along the front anjoying the show. A great way to see in the New Year.
