Hi anyone thinking of going paphos on these dates next year, just wondering, if they have ever taken a few days away from pahos and stayed at ayai napa, or if they can mention some things we could do, as we went this year for two weeks and it didnt seem enough, there will be about 15 lads age between 19 and 22.

Anything would be helpful thanks.

hi i'm new to this forum and i have been reading it for a few hours now :? lol but i have a few questions as i'm going to paphos in about 2 weeks and i can't wait. if u could answer them for me it would be great!

ok well firstly i need to know how much money to take with me.. i'm going for two weeks self catering (a little worried with reading past posts as i'm struggling for money atm as ive just (this week  ) been made redundant due to unforeseen circumstances)

I am going with my mum and her partner and my partner as it is my mums 40th birthday and also she has just very recently got engaged. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas  or knows of anything i can do when we arrive as i want to make it really special for her! :D

oh and as for the money situation does anyone know if the atm machines accept visa electron? its ok if not but i dont really want to be taking cash as i've had bad experiences in other countries!

thanks alot :D :D :D !

I have a VISA DEBIT card which I think is the same idea the VISA ELECTRON card and I had no problems withdrawing cash. Be warned though, most UK banks apply a withdrawl charge (which the ATM machines do not normally warn you about), the only bank that I know that doesn't is Nationwide, however most banks charge between £1.25 and £2.50 in my experience.

thanks for the warning, and thankyou very much for your help! :D

Didn't get out of car to have a look too scared :)

Only seen two cockroaches this year one alive and one dead they don't bother me too much if outside of hotel its when the little buggers get inside :)

agree with Mabs, we only saw 2 cockrroaches, one in Ayia Napa and one outside a toilet - was squashed the ants were making quick wok of it.

As for cats, we had kittens at the Andreotis but they dind't bother you, they stayed under the bushes, even mum stayed away, although the little uns were getting braver, they don't come near the pool or restuarant though, kept the beasties at bay outside.

Cats don't bother me. Didn't see many cats not compared to Tenerife they are over run with them.

We didn't see many cats at all. Did see a couple at the McDonalds in

Ayia Napa, but they didn't come near you........much to my grandaughters

1) A quality, as of an experience or a work of art, that arouses feelings of pity, sympathy, tenderness, or sorrow.

2) The feeling, as of sympathy or pity, so aroused.

What have the above to do with the town in western Cyprus, I hear you ask?

Absolutely nothing to do with PaPhos/Pafos at all.
My pet hate on all cyprus forums is the incorrect spelling as laid out above.
Please, please, please, get it right!

Mark. :rage

I quite agree but a lot of the problems stem from the TO's...

http://www.discoverlarnaca.com/ 'C'

http://www.cyprus-mail.com/news/ Look at the weather; 'C'

http://www.cyprusweekly.com.cy/ Look at the weather; 'C'

http://www.larnaka.com/ Hmm, the URL is with a 'K', but look at the page itself; 2 - 1 to the 'C'. All of the text on this site uses the 'C'.

http://www.larnaca.com.cy/ Takes you to the Netsmart(Cyprus) Freemail page http://www.larnaKa.com.cy ? Nowhere to be seen.

If I had a little more free time I would be able to find many examples.
Google searches:
'K' 809,000
'C' 2,220,000
It might not be right, but it certainly is popular.

Nuff said!

:wlink

Mark (with a 'K')

BTW, Kypros with a 'C'?!! :hmmm

I totally agree but isn't it just the worst when people pronounce pahpos as pathos that really annoys me.
We had maize this morning instead of Meze !!!

I thought this forum was to be informing people about cyprus but some just dont want to learn
