Hi Mer,
As previously stated to you, Astraeus is one good one and Excel are another, dependant on which airport you are flying from I guess (both have their own websites). Also look for flights to Corfu, which will be cheaper than flying to Preveza, and there are more of them! Taxi to the port is very cheap, as is the Ferry across. Also the taxi fare from Igoumenitsa is cheaper than from Preveza.. (it's nearer)
Thanks Kelvin West
Mer..... sorry if that sounded condescending.. It really wasn't meant to be! I just wanted to make sure you got the ino... E mail me If I can help further
Thanks for the apologies but wasn't necessary, no offence taken.
I've decided to book Magda's apts but can't find anything in holiday brochures. With diy in mind I tried some of the flight operators mentioned on http://www.parga.com/vistorbook with little success for the dates I want. Thinking about finding an overseas travel agent but I've never done it before so am a bit concerned? Any suggestions or advice would be most welcome?
Thanks
Mer
Hi, Do you think that Parga would appeal to/ be suitable for a 10 year old boy? it will be the first holiday he has had without his older sister, and he tends to get restless when he is not occupied or playing (particularly at night when it is Mythos time!)
If you want any more info pm me.
Gail, I'd agree... German friends of ours have been going regularly since 1994 with their two daughters who are now 11 and 8 and they are always well occupied. Children are really safe in Parga and can be allowed a lot of freedom. The Greeks will soon identify "who is with who" and therefore look after the children if they get even slightly lost!
Hi,
Yes there is a dive centre in Parga, it is located near the town beach at the Villa Rossa end.
Graham
Thanks - sounds perfect then,
Cejay.... We think it is.........Perfect (but then after 15 visits over 23 years we would wouldn't we?) Hope you get there and enjoy it
I saw some pics of people surfing on a Parga beach recently, but there was no caption to say where it was taken. The sea seemed really calm in pics I'd seen previously. Does anyone have any idea where surfing can be done and does the sea get choppy? I've booked my first holiday out there in Aug and I LOVE surfing (well, belly-boarding).

Hi Mer. We go to Parga in August. Where are you staying?
Hi pargaluvva
Hi Mer. We are staying at the Irini Studios 13 August for 2 weeks. This will be our third time. Can't wait.
Love to Graham!......................but the Germans have discovered it too (Along with the Norwegians and all the other scandinavians)...but as long as we keep quiet I'm sure it'll still be ok!
I am looking for a quiet location to spend my 30th wedding anniversary this year, probably going in either June or September. Having read most of the impressive reports on Parga, this looked to be the place. However I then read that it has 2 discos? Our last holiday was in Kafelonia and we stayed in the perfect ( for us ) resort of Aghia Afamia (sp). No disco's, a few small nice beaches and several good Tavernas. Has anyone been to both these places in order to provide a comparison?
We were there in July 2005 and never heard the said discos. We just loved it and are going back in July 06 and we have been married 33 years. We also are going to Lesvos and Stoupa this summer.
Parga is relatively much more commercialised than Ag Efimia on Kefalonia, it is the largest resort on that part of the mainland coast. Just simply doing an image search will confirm this. However nearby Paxos island may suit you better, villages in order of 'busy-ness' are Gaios, Lakka, Loggos. There is a boat service from Parga to Gaios.
