Just hoping the weather drops a few degrees by the time we go - 47 is not for me!!!! I know, no pleasing some people
All the shops at the complex will take your sterling & give you your change back in lira, which the rate is better over there.
If you go th markets, then all the market trades want english sterling off you.
So what i would say if take all sterling with you because it worked for us last year.
Daznutts i will see you there in August again.
Hi cant find the PP in the First choice families book? Is it also known as the holiday village turkey?
just remember when at the market they are cheaper than asda and you can get two for a fiver
yes stu it is the same one!
Was able to find the reviews on holiday village but not discussion. Thinking of going with the family next year... all looks good so far.
we had our tickets last week, and have packed most of the stuff already just got one bag for the last minute bits...sad i know but who cares!! am soo excited and so are boys, only just over a week to go!!!
just want to know if water is readily available there all day, and is it bottled...i cant drink any soft drinks with sugar in or diet coke so am worried it will be a bit difficult to get enough water, and i assume their ice is not safe to have either?
also, not sure i want to take an umbrella with me so will i have much difficulty getting 2 beds in the sun and 2 in the shade for kids by main pool, or an umbrella by flume pool? we are early risers so should be there by 9am to get the towels, which i believe is the time the towel hut opens.
thanks

There are water coolers at every bar, in reception and all of the restaurants, not sure if the ice is OK but none of my family or friends suffered any tummy upsets during our 2 week holiday.
With regards to the sunbed situation - we have just returned and you could easily get beds at the main pool under the canopies on the back row at 9am (these are shaded all day) but the front row canopies which depending on which side of the pool are are shaded half of the day are usually reserved by 8.30am! The flume pool doesn't have any canopies and I noticed that all of the umbrellas were reserved by 8.30. I took my own umbrella but left it there unused - we liked the main pool the best and the canopies were fab as you only got half of the day in the direct sun which was enough for us!
Hope this helps.

firstly congratulations!!
I to have just found out I am expecting, I am due to go to pegasus on 16 july so will only be 10 weeks when I return. However I did go to Turkey 7 years ago when I was 7 months pregnant for my daughter, and it was fantastic!! They love a pregnant belly!! I didn't have a single problem, I have to admit I wasn't adventurous with strange foods I ate simply but well!! This time I'm going with my 9,6 and 14 month old brood and friends, can't wait!! Have a fab time, and enjoy the holiday, and the baby. xx
You finally took the plunge and registered then faysparkles???
We were told ice is made from mineral/bottled water and not tap, although its up to you if you believe that or not!
just a couple of questions for anyone who has just returned, we are taking our 17 mth old son with us and wonder if milk is available and if so what type? and also is cordial available he will drink plain water but he also likes juice or will i have to buy some from the shop?
I didn't see codial in the shop but I wasn't really looking for it. They do have juice drinks on tap at the bars which kids can help themselves to although it is very brightly coloured and probably full of E numbers! I'd take a well-wrapped bottle in your case to be on the safe side!

thanks for your reply lynda
this may have been asked before but are there hairdryers in the rooms or do I have to pack my own ?
7 weeks to go.....my house is flooded and my car broke down this week. Anybody fancy getting me a pint in when I arrive?
There are hair dryers in the bathroom but they are not very good. If you have thick hair like me I would suggest taking your own.
thanks for replies on the water situation.
another question, is there an airer on the balcony there, as i am going to take pegs with me but want to have something to hang out clothes to dry off.
also, does the bus run to take you to have a turkish bath outside of the resort, or will we need to get a taxi? as i know it is very expensive on the resort to have one done.
thanks

there is a small retractable airer on the balcony. Big enough for swim wear and possibly T-shirts but not for anything much bigger. Towels can be hung over the balcony .
The dolmus bus stops outside the main hotel gate which is a 2 minute walk from reception. I'm not sure where it runs to though. We booked a turkish bath trip with one of the tour operaters in Sarigerme village and got picked up from the gate (they are not allowed through onto the hotel premises) in an air conditioned minibus and taken straight there and back. This cost £8 per adult, children 6 and under free and kids aged 7-12 inclusive were £4. You can pay extra for an oil massage after your turkish bath when you arrive. I'm not sure how much that would be as it was getting late and we wanted to get back for dinner. It was very good value.
cuddy1977 - sounds awful Hope things get better for you soon. We will have been and come home by the time you go but I'll leave one in at the bar for you
