Hi Darren.
I didnt know you could pebook on First Choice whats the procedure.
You can pre-book seating together, FCA call it 'Sit Together Option' (click here), just not 'select your seat'.
Darren
can you tell me what plane we will get please
4-9-07 birm - malta tcx995k 15.30
11-9-07 malta - birm tcx995l 12.00
cheers pam xx
TCX995k/L are Thomas Cook flights so should be in the Thomas Cook thread really. They are operated by an Airbus A320-214. These aircraft have 180 seats configured in 30 rows of 3-3 with 28" seat pitch. For a seating plan, click here
Darren
sorry darren didnt realise when i was posting as looked at paper work and saw first choice holiday.
We usually take 3 cases and spread the weight between them but we usually find that at least 2 of the cases will be approaching 30kg which is what we thought was the maximum weight for the baggage handlers.
Has anyone else had their baggage weight reduced. Spoke to First Choice and they said this is an airport restriction but I thought I would have heard about this on here if it was the case.
Went to Puerto Rico with flyglobespan in May and there was no restrictions then.
Can anyone advise please before I go out and buy another case and try to figure out how to get them all in the car!!!!
Cheers - John
I can confirm that the your baggage allowance is correct and you were correctly informed by First choice that a single bag cant weigh more than 23kgs, the restriction lays with the actual baggage handlers, due the health and saftey they cant carry more than 23kgs now.As your baggage allowance is 20kgs, you obviously can pay for the extra 3 kgs and that is charged as follows:-
£6 per extra kilo for short haul (any flight under 4 hours)
£7 per extra kilo Midhaul (any flight 4-6hours)
£8.50 per kilo longhaul (any flight over 6 hours)
If you are going to pay extra for the luggage i would recc you speak to the airline first on 0870 757 2757
Cheers - John
On a longhaul flight on star class do you check in 3 hours before & on SCP check in 2 hours before? If you are travelling on SCP can you still check in 3 hours before? Im just worried about seating!
Check-in desks open 3 hours prior to your departure time (including SCP). It is recomended to check-in at least 2 hours before your departure time (3 for Gatwick). This is applicable to any flight, not just long haul.
Darren
ok then thanks Dazbo, I think we will get there 3 hours before then as we are going from Gatwick & just to be on the safe side!
For what it's worth, I'm flying SCP to Sanford in 2 weeks and the tickets show Check In as 06.30 for an 09.30 flight, so I'll be checking in 3 hours in advance - mainly because I understand there can be long queues at Security at East Midlands at the moment.
thanks cozzyleicester im flying SCP & I'll be checking in 3 hours before even though at the moment my invoice says check in: 9.20 and my flight leaves 11.20 may be different on my tickets but I will still be checking in 3 hours before
how do you find uot what planes are flying for each flight?
If you look at my signature, I'm an aviation photographer so I know what aircraft airlines use and also have access to flight information.
Darren
Note that Thomson Holidays are using First Choice to Larnaca in 2008,Thomsons web site wont allow prebooking seats together on this flight, how can we request seats together if we book this holiday. Can it be done with a booking Ref on First Choice web site.
Does anyone know what movies are being shown on the FC flights to Montego Bay?
my parents are due off that flight tomorrow morning so i'll post and let you know
TA! Highly unlikely I will ACTUALLY get to watch one with a 15 month old.... but, maybe.
Hi i have been told that for the last few weeks FCA2662 Manchester - Fuertuventura has been operated by 767s don't suppose you know if they will still be operating them on this route on the 18th august?? we're looking at booking last minute and and a 767 would be nice!
