Thanks for that Pam7 - I see your location is Cloud Cuckoo Land, I would move cos IMO thats exactly where the HCI is located. If not, then they are certainly on a different planet Have you decided what you are going to do
Fiona, is there an emoticon that does the indian "head shake" - think we need one
I didn't think about Dublin. But Belfast didn't really want to know as it is only an honorary consulate.( not sure what good having it is then but thats not a discussion for here )
Pam
I wrote as ht mod and explained what the feedback was here and that they would be losing custom.I gave them the link. I am off for over 2 weeks from today so I think that is all I can do I'm afraid.
But there is one of the agencies appointed by the Indian consulate, that have on there website, details of obtaining a postal visa through them, They state that the visa will be dispatched back to you within 3-4 working days after receipt of your passports, they are charging 50 pounds per passport, payable by cheque made out to them, in my mind, this is being made far easier, because we haven't got to queue up at a post office to get the postal orders, or send the special delivery envelopes that are needed to send them back to us, on my reckoning they will only be making about 10 pounds per passport, which I think they deserve, as it will save a lot of us making a trip to a surgery.
I live in Newport Wales, so visiting a surgery would have been a tremendous struggle, I think I will use this companies services this year, and then decide wether it will be worth booking again for next year.
I am sure that most of us, will go through this, because we love Goa, and we will be back again next year.
'£50 per passport'....soooooo the visa is £30 per passport.....and that means you'll be paying £20 per person over the odds? (sorry..I get confused very easily!) - through their 'acredited' travel agents..you'll be paying £10 over the odds - someone please help me with this - it's late!
can anyone advise how on earth you get a visa if you live in northern ireland??????
There is somewhere in Belfast you can apply...but not sure now whether its the consulate?! Maybe worth an email?
dont think the belfast consulate do visas but i will send an email to see what they advise.
No Visa office in NI. Need to apply to another part of the UK.
I can confirm this as I emailed them to ask and also give them feedback and links to here
Obtaining the visas from the travel agent cuts out all this messing around, and I will be grateful just to send the cheque for 50 pounds and let them sort out obtaining the visas, it only adds on approx 10 pound to the normal cost.
Well worth it.
Hi,could you tell us where we can get the visa service for£50
it is up to you wether or not you you use recorded delivery. if you send a recorded delivery envelope they will use it to send your passports back. otherwise they will send it back by normal post at no extra cost.
I have looked at most of the other options, and am pretty sure this is about the best.
the address is :- PUJA TRAVEL. 445 KENTON ROAD, KENTON HARROW, MIDDLESEX. HA3 OXY
Hope you find this useful BOB
So that's £10 PER Visa then Bob? ie two visas you send them £80?
yes that is correct, sorry i didn't make that clear.
this does of course offset some of the cost, by being able to pay by cheque and not have to pay poundage on the postal order we had to send to the HCI.
