We fly out Sunday. Been reading all the reports people have been putting in here this week. Firstly, we have also paid an extra £80 for a sea view and if we dont get one, I will be none too pleased and will demand a refund there and then!
The Jacuzzi rooms do seem good, but I dont think its worth it for us to upgrade, we are hardly ever in the room!
The hotel does look great and gets very good reviews, so heres hoping everything will be fine. We booked it for my partners 'special birthday' (50 next Tuesday ). He always likes to pay extra for the sea view so I would be annoyed if we didnt get one.
Lallygirl, its shocking that the hotel/tour operators are taking money for sea views when quite obviously there are none available if the hotel is full. Can I ask which company you booked with?

As I said the issue seemed to be with the Hotel, the rep was fuming, took copies of my docs etc and got on to the quality manager . The T homson room allocation (she showed me) said clearly Sea View
Did you book the sea view with the hotel? Got the impression that those guests always seemed to get Sea View over the tour operators

Great review Lally. We rated it fairly similar. There wasn't any cooking stations at breakfast while I was there. There was only the bar-b-q at the far end & the pide/pizza just outside as well, no desert stations!!!! I suspose thats because you went when it was busier. They only did ice-cream on the Italian nights when I was there (& I loveeeeee ice-cream). No hotdogs or jacket potatos by the pool either!!!!

I thought they could have done more to discourage the stray dogs.

I though the food at the Olu Deniz beat it, even though there isn't the choice of different venues at the ODR, just the basic quality & its a more suited to British tastes than German/Belgian.
The beach at Olu beats them all.
But I though everything else about the ADR was better. FAB sunsets.

I'm looking at Sharm next year!!

Kim, the dogs weren't a problem, maybe too hot for them? Tended to see them all walk past the hotel at around 8am and back again around 6pm, rarely saw them in between
Really funny seeing them walk along single file!!
There are 5 kittens there now - all slept on my terrace most nights

ive booked . at last .I had been holding on for the prices from the hotel direct but they still dont have them so went with the thomson accomodation only price .went through the whole booking only to find I had to pay the full £3000 now . so rang thomson shop and they let me book now with a deposit but it cost me £100 more than on line as they couldnt give me the online discount and they charge £60 booking fee for accomodation only . I did try all the thomson shops to see if any could do better but in the end decided it would cost me more than £100 to have 3 grand sitting on my credit card until next year. got a nice bonus of Sea view rooms though at No additional charge which I wouldnt of got on line so Im more than happy with that. and even more good news .Accomodation £3000 (just under) £640 for my flights = £3640 + transfers to add on. Best price as a package airtours £4684 or portland a massive £5535 . so a very decent saving of at least a £1000

6 of us Sandra in 2 rooms 2 adults, 4 children 17,17 (paid adult for them) 15 and 12 (got both of those at child price). going 1st August but if I hadnt booked those flights when I did in june for £640 not really sure that there would of been much saving over my travels package price.
Hope it lives up to the Belcekiz beach where we went this year.

I have just been looking at the reviews for this hotel and gave up on the lastest 2 reviews because there are no paragraphs used. It just too much hard work reading a long review in the format they have been done in.

paragraphs helps the reader even more because most people would use a different paragraph for each area of the hotel reiew, ie, food and drink, entertainment, rooms ect.

Paragraphs help the writer as well making it easier to see if they have left anything out of their review.

That's a very good price Lyn, we've paid £3,665 for 2 weeks at the hemera Hotel for 4 adults and a child. That does include transfers, meals on plane and extra luggage allowance, but think you got a better deal. Sandra

Was that a package or DIY price sandra ??? Hemera is another on my shortlist as well as letoonia. I will get around to them all eventually :roll:. the interesting thing though when doing the accomodation price with thomson was that if their had been just 5 of us and no elder sons girlfriend the price was exactly the same .so effectively she went free

Hi, just back from ADR a few days ago, we had a great time just wish it had been 2 weeks. Will post a full review when myspacebar isworking again. We booked direct with hotel and would do this again, we had a fab room with sea view. I have already emailed hotel looking for prices for next year but am still awaiting reply.
The only thing i would criticise would be the entertainment but this was probably because it was end of season. If anyone has any questions i will be happy to answer if i can. Oh and it was our first trip to Turkey and we loved it, the majority of people were so friendly, so sad to be back.

It's a package price with Thomas Cook. I really set my heart on this hotel because of the reviews and I love Side.
