Some friends of mine did the white water rafting trip and said it was really good -think children have to be 8+ though. :?

There was a boat trip picking up from the hotel pier...which is convenient.

Apart from the old harbour (which is quite small), we didn't really rate Antalya ....busy, dirty, and the shops were expensive compared to other parts of Turkey. We did not enjoy our trip on the dolmus there - although the dolmus was cheap, it was quite a long journey for the kids (about half an hour to three quarters, of stopping & starting), and not very comfortable in the heat.

We did not make it to the market - so perhaps that is better shopping wise ?

Out of interest - has anyone seen any good deals for Summer 2008 for the Titanic Beach anywhere ???

- I am trying to book this hotel for friends of mine...but I'm struggling to get under £5000 for 2 adults/ 2 children (12 & 13), for 2 weeks, from Manchester July / August.

Any help appreciated

Just looked on eclipse direct (first choice), in excess of £1950 p p :yikes, I know the hotel is good but don't think it's worth that kind of money!!!!

We are going to the Larespark (next door) in May - got a really good price for 4 adults 3 children - as the Titanic was too dear even for May.

You could try Travel Republic, we have used them before - no probs- but you need your own transfers.Again not a problem as so close to airport. Promo code GETSOMESUN for a discount.

Yes, my thoughts too......

I'm looking at DIY for them too- we did this when we stayed there, and saved a fair bit.

Best accommodation only price is still DIY Travel, who we used, as they will quote for a family room (you have to ring them though) whereas most will only quote for 2 rooms with kids that age (over 12).Onthebeach also gave a decent online price...but only for 2 rooms, so dearer. Travel republic aren't quoting for this hotel for next year just yet.

Best non night flights from Manchester were Onur Air...and then First Choice.

Anyone found cheaper ???? :shrug

Hi sorry to post a message so long after this message has been closed but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the kids club. I have read that it is between the ages of 4-12. Our little one will be 3 and 7 months when we go - do you think he would be allowed to join in? We are going in July or August so could be very busy and im thinking they may not have indemnity insurance for children under 4 hence why the age is 4-12 lol but just wondered.

Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.

The kids clubs are run by the hotel, don't think there would be a problem with your child going at that age, a lot of activities take place in the pirate boat at the kid's swimming pool , so you can sit right by it and keep an eye on your child. Denny

Some really good prices in the Eclipse brochure that came through the door the other day, but we have already booked to go to the Larespark (next door) in May. Denny

regarding the kids club, we went in may when our daughter was 3 and 6 months, she could attend the kids club but only if we stayed with her, they are not insured for children under 4, also there is no sign in or out, it was very much come and go as you please so we would not of left our daughter there alone as they could very easily wander off and it's situated in the boat by the pool.

Hi emma,

Thanks for that we might put it on hold till the following year then as it is not a break for the parents lol

Might look for something with proper FC kids club as at least then you get to actually read a book and not have to worry about them as they are being properly looked after!

Hi we have booked the Titanic at Lara beach for summer 08 with thomson. There are 2 adults and 2 children 11 / 9 travelling. Can anyone confirm what thomson mean by a family room as different TA sites seem to give conflicting info. Will we have double + double, or will it be two separate areas, or bed setees? Does anyone know if we will be in the main hotel or an annexe?

Hi teachersh,

The family rooms are in an annex and consist of a bedroom and lounge with sofa beds. They are located in the garden, near the children's pool.

We stayed at the Titanic in May last year, it was excellent in every way. We didn't have a family room, we booked two interconnecting rooms instead which I think worked out cheaper.

You will love it, it has excellent reviews!!!!

Thanks Denny. can I ask a few more things I'd love your opinion. Do you know a bit more about the layout of the family rooms ie v squashed/ fairly spacious. we would rather have had interconnecting rooms but these were not offered. Are the family rooms 'superior' to the standard hotel rooms do you think it would be worth asking for a swap to interconnecting rooms when we get there?
Do you think we will feel out of it because we are not in the main hotel? Sorry to fuss any info opinions appreciated:)

Hi, The family rooms seem to be the same standard as the hotel rooms. They looked very comfy and well laid out. They are close to the hotel, they are located to the right of the hotel (as you look at the sea) with a landscaped garden between the rooms and the hotel. You won't feel left out at all. There are not many of these rooms, so if they are all booked you would probably be offered inter-connecting rooms anyway. Maybe you could get in touch with travel agent and request two interconnecting rooms instead? ( they only cost £1 per person per night). Whichever way, I think you will be well satisfied the accommodation and with the hotel in general. It's lovely, a true 5* ..... Anymore questions don't hesitate to ask Denny

I've been reading on the forum how fantastic the hotel titanic is (great! as we'rve booke dto go here in Sept). One member says how great the entertainment and parties are in the evening. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is aimed at the adult or at families? We have two boys (they will be 9 & 6) and were wondering if the entertainment would be something they weould enjoy. If not, is there a babysitting service or kids club that we could use on an evening if we wanted a gown-up evening. Any advice would be very appreciated...

We are going here in September, 2 adults and a child of 11. We have booked one room but how are the sleeping arrangements for three? Can anyone help me?

Cazz, there is a single bed, double bed and sofa bed in each room. The rooms are lovely and modern with a nautical touch! My son, DIL and 3 kiddies shared one of these rooms and whilst there wasn't loads of room with a travel cot as well, they certainly managed very well!
