Any tips on the best places to eat in Candolim would be appreciated.
Staying few days near Acron arcade area. Best place for breakfast! Do the shacks at this end of town do a good English.
Evenings, I love anything as long as it not mega spicy, butter chicken, seafood etc. Other half cannot eat spicy at all.
Thanks

loads of previous replies on this question.
I particularly like Flambe and the small swiss/italian restaurant opposite it.
Stonehouse hets good reports but apart from the butter chicken I didn't rate it a great deal.
Ice and Spice is a bit downmarket but does really good fish dishes and the Fishermans rest is also pretty good.
Casa sea shell is good but a bit dearer, in fact they are all pretty good :D
It is easier to ask where NOT to go.
can't help with breakfast as my religion forbids me to eat before 12.00

Glad you enjoyed it GFF, maybe I should be on commission :rofl
It was Mike (Richardson) who first told me about Chef Souymen opening his own place and the location etc. I am glad I tried it as well, food is delicious.

We were in Floyds last year, very nice. Ive also heard great reports about Tony's Place, but never been there yet (will go in March). I know Irishcolleen and hubby went to Tony's in November and said the food was delicious, anyone else been and what did they think?

For good value well cooked food I really like Mango Grove.

Been to goa 4 times now and each time we call in and have a meal at Tony's. Enjoyed every one. Good service as well!

There are plenty of good places in Candolim. We went to Tonys a couple of times last year and it didn't disappoint......fish, chips and mushy peas is delicious if you don't want spicy food. I agree with the previous post that it is hard to say where not to go......That is the most taxing part of the day......deciding where to eat.

Can't wait we are off in 3 weeks :wow

We used Tony's place most mornings for our breakfast O/H likes his porridge and tried a few places but tony's was the best.

Not tried the breakfast as we are usually down on the beach and have breakfast at the shack. One to remember if we are off somewhere else for the day though.

Mermaid is very good for non spicy food...also Bistro, virtually next door.

Le Jardin was amazing. Recommended to us by the After 7 staff!!! Its on Holiday Street.

Loved After 7 too.

Riviera - Holiday Street

SAMS beach shack on Baga for prawns bigger than your arm.

Stone baked pizzas and stonebaked potatoes at ROMA - mmmmm
oh guess where -
Hot plate was the best Goan cuisine with excellent Goan entertainment (on the road across from Subway on the way to Estrela Do Mar)

Where is Inferno? It is looking like this place is winning the prize for best restaurant!!!!

The Inferno is nearly at the bottom of the Main Beach Road in Candolim, it's on the left going down opposite the Alexander.

Tony's Place is on the Main Road in Candolim, just past Goan Jewellers.

hi westfield - spent a fair amount of time in candolim last year (3 months) - check my trip report.

floyd's hut - great food, for us we always ate indian in there, the king prawn kholipuri, chicken tikka dupiaza, cheese pakora's, cheese and garlic naan's - fabulous food, we didn't get bored - great lads working there as well

tony's - knew tony from his days at xavier's and after a slow start the boy's done really well. pepper steak was a once a week staple for us there, the chicken tikka and samosa's good too. we'd see the same 'long stayer' faces eating their fish & chips once a week too!

mango grove - was good for king prawns goan style, kingfish - was cheapest place for kingfisher - 50 rupes bottle

casa seashell/inferno - overrated

sheetal - bottom of beach road, ate here a few times, good north indian food

venture to calangute and try plantain leaf / souzo lobo's - good indian food here.
