You can sit by the pool at the bottom of the slides which is next to the tent under which the kids club is held. You can keep an "eye" on her and she can return to you if she is unsure about the kids club.
The kids club was great for what was our 6 year old at the time. If they ever went away from the tent they always moved in a "train" and were supervised.
thanks for that becky, ellies very shy and doesnt usually join in with these clubs but says shes going to try this year as she wants to make some friends, do the clubs split into age groups, and what sort of things do they do thanks
just found out that ellies needs to go on antibiotics that needs to be kept in a fridge , is there a fridge or drinks cooler in the rooms
There was a fridge in the room - think it was replenished with soft drinks through the week
thanks becky thats great news
could anyone give me the email address please, I would like to contact the hotel. I am led to believe that the hotel does have some very small rooms and some rooms have no sun on the balcony whatsoever. This concerns me it is our wedding anniversary the day we arrive at the hotel so I would like it to be special. Any advice greatly recieved.

I think its info@aegean dreams.com - all my emails from them are on my old address and I have forgotten the password
http://www.aegeandream.com/ should take you to their website and there is a contact us page there which I used first time
Lally
thanks Lally youre a star
I have just returned this morning from the Aegean dream and didn't like my room on arrival. I asked for a sea view and was given the option of one of the rooms that are on a seperate annex - althought still connected to the hotel. A charge was quoted as 7 Euros a night but we were never charged and the rooms were fantastic looking straight over the sea !!
I will give more of an update later on - I think I need to get some sleep !!

i will do a report later when i get chance, quick review ,room we had was lovely and our check out room was a suite which was great. fab views from our room in annex near beach. hotel was clean, most of the staff were friendly although we did encounter 2 problems which ill explain later. we enjoyed the spa we used a few times for extra money, hotel was in a good location. my daughter loved the kids club once she built up enough confidence to go. the main problem we found was the food, mainly the evening meals, im so sick of turkey nearly every meal was turkey, food was very repetitive and in my opinion more 3*, so this really let the hotel down, the food is no where near the standard of letoonia or lykia world. i had to complain about 3 times before they put on a pathetic kids section as ellie was living on boiled rice or bread for evening meals and the general manager was very rude to me telling me to move hotel if i didnt like the food, the cheeky ------, everyone we spoke to was unhappy or had complained about the lack of kids food, especially if you have fussy child or young kids again this was mainly the evening, breakfast was great and lunch was just ok. in general the people we chatted to werent too impressed with the food, it was mainly turkish especially the desserts, so ellie never had a dessert.
ellie managed to get a bad cut on her ankle leaning against the pool bar there as a sharp metal strip and this bled badly and i hope it has been fixed so it doesnt injure anyone else !!
we did have a bad experience yesterday on the beach when a very dodgey man grabbed my daughters friend takin her ice cream away and trying to get photos of them in their bikinis, ellie ran to me on the beach and the man chased after her and then asked me if he could take a photo of her, you can imagine what my husband said to that and called security who were useless, and told us to tell the kids to say no !!! all i can say is thank god this happened on our last day as i would have worried all holiday !!!
despite having a few problems we still enjoyed our holiday but wouldnt return as the food wasnt up to standard of 5*, although the room we had and the view was lovely
Glad it was good overall
I remember the Turkey Kebab, meatball, steak, fillet ,stew, soup etc and remember eldest saying that she was leaving if they tried to serve the beak

Personally we all loved the food - yes, there was Turkey/Chicken every day but there was also georgeous veal every day. As we were there for two weeks we tended to limit what we had - ie, turkey one day, veal the next - otherwise if you have a bit of everything every day then it will obviously be repetative.
The salads were fantastic - as were the rice, potatoes (and chips if you want them which personally don't suit me as I can have them everyday when I get home if I want to). My downfall was the deserts - they were georgoes - especially if you asked me 18 year old son - I am sure he ate a whole chocolate gateaux every day !!
Sorry Karen - I think we must have been at different hotels as most of the people I spoke to loved the food. There were a few who said that they have had better food - but that the hotel in gereral was so good what with the activities, cleanliness, etc that they would prefer to return to this resort that one with better food.
The reason I will return to this hotel again is the entertainment. The animation team were fantastic - mind you we al took part in the many daily activities - in one day, we did Morning Aerobics followed by Water Aerobics, followed by Boules, and then Darts, pool games, beach volley ball, water polo, rifle shooting, bike riding and Archery. In a way we are glad to be back for the rest. We went to the same hotel last year and I thought it was fantastic then - this year I thought it was every better and hopefully ever better next year (as soon as I can get booked)
If anyone is going I am sure you will have a fantastic time - if you do want to rest the animation team do leave you alone - it is up to you what you want to do - there is absolutly no pressure !!

Welcome back Karen and Collette, a few questions for you both, I read somewhere that the restaurant does BBQs at lunchtime and in the evenings was that the case this year? Also what room numbers would you recommend that have good sea-views. My two teens were asking about the disco did your son try it Collette Thanks
i havent faulted the hotel for the rooms, cleaniness, entertainment etc. we were lucky as most people we chatted to had changed rooms at least once due to the air conditioning not working, but i was very pleased with our room, the views were lovely , i think lykia has spoilt us for any other all inc type hotel with letoonia a close second, as i have already said we had a good holiday and ellie was happy.
rosie we had room 814 and that had a good sea view right near the beach. they didnt have any bbqs as such but a few live cooking stations, doing things like pide, turkey steaks, turkey kebabs, liver, chicken, meatballs and some sausage type things
The kids club was a letdown but there was plenty more for our son to do.
Not a lot of Brits ( don't know if that's a good thing for you or a bad thing!!!)
becky im not bothered about being with too many brits , there seemed to be more dutch at aegean dream with brits probably second. out of interest how did you feel about the food in aegean dream compared to letoonia
My daughter & her boyfriend went in May (last month) & hated the food.
They loved everything else, but hated the food.
They said a lot of people there had been last year & though the food had changed for the worse.
I think the food at Letoonia was better than ADR but suffered due to the size of the holiday village. There were more people to leave the buffet lids open!!!
But it was not vastly superior. I thought the ADR had better BBQs and other areas away from the main restuarant. I didn't try any a la carte options at Letoonia so can't comment about them.
yes thats what a few people i spoke to that had stayed last year had told us too, this year that had all new staff and new general manager so maybe this could have something to do with it ,who knows , the hotel was lovely shame about the food lol. at the ADR we tried the italian and that was ok nothing great but the turkish restaurant was lovely ,we didnt try the a la carte near the beach as i didnt want to pay around £10 each for what was supposed to be all inclusive
I guess it all depends what you want out of your holiday. Food was never a high priority for me as long as the area was clean (it was immaculate - if anything the downside was that your plate was cleared if you looked the other way !!) and the food was edible which it was. What I will say is that I put 9 lb on in two weeks - so it couldn't have been all bad !!
