Just under 2 weeks to go now until we go to CSR. Just wondering how much spending money we would need to take. I mean an average amount for a family of 4. We are not planning to do the Cairo excursion, maybe the water park and the odd other trip that would be about it. We may want to eat out one night or visit another bar, but until we get there I'm not sure what is outside the resort. Also is it worth the hassle venturing out alone?
Good tips about the water vendors and the mini bar idea
Hi am trying to e-mail the hotel, but all my messages keep coming back with a delivery failure, HELP,
here is email address i us 4 the csr to:Oriental@coralsearesorts.com
that's worked thank-you
eirlys
Thanks for the water tips everyone
I went to Sharm 2 years ago it was great fun
Did the quad biking through the dessert and watched the sunset absolutly fabulous only thing I would say is the guides carry guns but never saw one get it out and they seemed really friendly

Can't wait, see you on Thursday, where are you flying from. We are flying from Gatwick 13.35

We are going to the CSR on 27th November, what is the beach like there? Is the water deep enough to swim in or do we have to walk out for miles? It is my quest to find the best beach in the world. Do we need beach shoes on close to the beach or just further out near the reef?
To swim shoes are a good thing as there is a little Coral. When we went in Oct. in the afternoon the sea became quite choppy, but Lifeguards where in place we are there again this thurs 10th so we will let you know more when we return, But it is a brilliant place, and if you can book to see the beduiam people camel ride with stargazing , take sweets for the children and i promise you wont be dissapointed.
just got back from the csr this morning,my advice to people going, would be to cancel and go to cyprus, out of 9 people in our party 7 people were ill with upset stomachs, and i mean running to the toilets.our room had sewage water coming out of the shower base and the hotel had to unblock it four times, one morning it had come under the door and into the bedroom.our french windows would not lock properly.the other family we went with had no water in there rooms to wash ,3 times, there phone did not work, the waiters are fine if you are young and female,be careful of this,i seriously have a massive list of complaints about first choice and this hotel together,we had some real great days away from the hotel, aqua park, naama bay.and quad biking .we booked not using first choice, cheaper and loads better,i will be making an official complaint, just need to get some sleep first,
so sorry to hear out you holiday but we are still going there as we have allready been SH** on by first choice we were going to lanzarote to premium hotel ,that got degraded but not price!! so we (or rather first choice) help us to change to egypt and we booked in to brand new hotel not even open till april this year got letter last nov hotel wont be ready we have booked you into coral sea resort so we are bit fed up allso as this hotel is not premium but we get (hope) all the premium benifts so i am going with open mind as i have heard good reports mabye you there at wrong we
hi snow drop were also going to the csr soon and havin read lots of reviews were going 2 chance it when do you travel
I have just read reports above and am now quite concerned about travelling to hotel. I stayed in CSR 2 years ago and could not fault hotel, hence reason for returning.
The entertainment staff were exceptional when I was there and always provided an evening show for all age groups. Can anyone please confirm if there is still live entertainment as when I was there Grease and Rocky Horror show were a few of the many evening shows which we seen .
Also read about the Irish coffee scam, does / did this happen on a regular basis?
Re the hotel beach bar / restaurant. At my last stay this was a seafood restaurant at night which was at a charge. I believe that this is now an Indian restaurant, do you still need to pay for this also?
Can anyone please let me know what the new shopping complex is like across from the hotel and what kind of shops and restaurants / bars there.
Thanks
Oh dear 'Tipton'. It's to late for us, we are off there tomorrow :Que . That doesn't sound good at all. Which room and block were you in? Ive heard such good reports about this hotel, any of that s*** I will force FC to move us reminding them of the previous year the holiday we booked and hotel never finished. Even though we did end up in Crete and had a wonderful holiday, I won't tolerate bad stomach. Especially if it happens to my kids.
sorry to hear about your holiday Tipton. We have booked to go there in feb for my 40th but are seriously considering changing it , i have phoned first choice and we can change it for £20 each so think i will start looking for somewhere else
our rooms were 2001-2004.while we were there far to many people had upset stomachs for it to be a coincidental.
i changed mine yesterday and its suddenly shot up2 35 pound per person luckily my new hol was cheaper
Yes this is a problem, but the holiday overall was okay, quite relaxing as its too hot to do much else, good location right on the beach, most of the staff were friendly although it is a male oreinted culture so women tend to be politely overlooked.
If you are ill, the medicine is much cheaper just outside the main entrance to the left at the pharmacy, next to the metro supermarket. The pharmacist, a woman, was very helpful and gave us the diarolite free.
Please don't be put off because of this, I do think its "holiday tummy" but its no fun when you are going through it.
