Just had a text from Wendy.

Kamel had his mobile phone stolen today. Unfortunately, this means that he has now lost all phone numbers he had.
Wendy will be leaving her number with him so when he manages to get a new one he'll be able to let us know.
Apparantly he was in tears because it was the phone we gave him and he has lost all his baby photos and videos.

That is so sad that Kamel has had his phone stolen. How could someone do that to him. He will have lost so many numbers. Worse tho is the loss of the photos of his baby son - outrageous.

I was wondering whether anybody could shed some light on something for me.

I've been to the Coral Hilton four or five times over the past few years and am looking to return again in March. Have used various travel companies depending on what dates fitted around work, price etc.

Was planning to use MyTravel, who now own Panorama, this time as their flight dates suited me but Coral Hilton disappeared off their website. When we called them to ask about it they said they weren't taking any bookings until May next year because the hotel was going to have renovation work done to it.

Bearing in mind how recently in hotel terms the room blocks were completed that sounds rather odd - can anyone shed any light on it?

Also am now having to look at arranging the trip independently, possibly flying out to Sharm with Easyjet. My main concern is the transfers to and from the airport - does anyone have any much needed advice or am I going to have to find try and find somewhere else to go!? I hope not.

There are plans to do the bungalows, but that wouldn't shut the hotel. When the other buildings were being done it stayed open.

When the wife booked while there last month for March 09, the hotel did say there were only 6 bookings for that time.

I think it might be MyTravel. I've tried different places - not just Egypt- and they're missing out months at a time. Even when months are coming up, they are not available.

I am also using easyjet in march & use max cars based at coral for $90 each way, the coral will arrange the car for you

Are the flights with easyjet similar in prices to the ones people used to get with XL ? I am assuming the flights are to Sharm and not Taba. Do you then jsut book direct witht the Coral.

Easyjet are cheaper than xl at mo & yes i book direct with coral usually while i am there as i book flights before i go, as in march, i will book june flights before & give them dates & flight times. Can't book june yet as flights are not showing yet

Thanks Dolphin. Good to hear you have an effective replacement for XL. I've just realised that Easys summer schedule doesn't come on-line till December and I was interested in April flights so too early yet. Take Care.
