Emma,
You won't be flying with First Choice, Rather Thomson Airways. Who have not yet released the IFE listings, once they have they will be posted.
Thanks so much Darren this is my first long haul flight so dont know what to expect really so the info is much appreciated
Thank you
Thanks.....
I am not sure if this is the correct forum but I am interested to know the flight route for BHX - NAP to give me some idea what we may see below. Weather permitting
BHX-NAP is 1100 miles and your routing will be as follows:
You'll see plenty of snow topped mountains and if you're lucky, Mont Blanc.
Darren
You are a man of all information.
Can anyone confirm the a/c type to be a B767-300??
I found this info on the ANA aviation cargo site. If it is a 767-300, will it offer premium cabin or is this re-configured for short haul flights.
Thanks!
We traveled from MAN to PUJ (PuntaCana) on 22/4 on a (ex) FCA 767, but I forgot to check the aircraft type :-/ Couldn't upgrade to StarClass Premier, as they said it was "sold out" although upon check in they had 16 seats free... although I'm pleased we didn't in the end, standard "StarClass" was really good, and having travelled Premier before, I'm not sure it is really worth it...
Anyway, the crew was really attentive and good, spirits were £3 mixer was .80, two beers for £5 Red wine £3... plane was about an hour late leaving because they found a "dint" in the body and needed it to be checked by engineers, then logged/reported etc.... so we got the inflight movies upgraded for free :-))
... Having said that, after chatting with the crew, they were "downbeat" as converting "Thomson" standards, from the beginning of next month, it equates to a big change for them, and erosion of "benefits" ... they really blame the merger of MyTravel & ThomasCook, Thomson & Firstchoice, loss of XL all leading to this situation, when they said Passenger yields (onboard spend) was better than ever.... although I have to also add that the duty free prices for drinks onboard was WAY cheaper than at Manchester Airport, which has now introduced an horrific policy of "available to passengers at one price for all destinations".. so basically people who are elligible for duty free pay inflated prices, and the Alpha retail agents pocket the difference.... the Manager of Alpha retail (when I questioned why they don't pass on the duty savings) said that without this they wouldn't be able to operate at all (...yeah whatever)
Anyway .... If anyone knows (for the nerd inside me) what aircraft operated our flight that'd be cool
Andy
Welome onboard
Your flights were operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER, specifically G-OOBM. I'm glad you had great flights and mirror pretty much the opinion of many others, includng myself. I bet it's sunnier where you are than it is here!!

I am traveling EMA-LCA on Sun 7th June, flight TOM 7704/5. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the type or aircraft and seat configuration for this flight?
I was thinking about booking on the same flight as you so I can tell you the Aircraft is set to be a Boeing 737-800 im sure one of the guys on here can confirm that but this is what Thomson told me.
Welcome onboard
As z.j.c mentions, EMA-LCA-EMA (TOM7704/5) are operated by a Boeing 737-800 (wingletted). You'll find more information on our What Aircraft? thread including aircraft photos, seating plan and my recent trip reports.
Darren
Thanks Darren
After holidays in Cuba (came back 2 weeks ago) we already booked from FC to go to Dominica Republic, for April 2010 lol
I guess I'm holiday addict, and they already gave us flight numbers (tom022/023) but I doubt any information can be pulled out about plane schedule - so just writing to share the joy Now just long wait
You're no more of a holiday addict than most of us on here! We have a tradition of deciding where the next holiday is going to be on the return flight, if we don't have our next holiday already booked (which we have!). It is a little early to give you any concrete flight details and we'd need more information (presuming you are flying from LGW, are you going to POP, PUJ or LRM)? but they shouldn't be different that the flight you've just come back on.
Darren
And Darren thanks again for info on our Cuba flight earlier, really helpful
BTW Caribbean airways in Cuba are from Mexico - we flew from Holguin to Havana (via Coco something) and landing in Havana was quite scary - but we survived

The movies are always different on the return flight. It wasn't up to 2007, but through customer feedback, they ammended things and provide an outbound and inbound selection.
