Gower linked me to your report of your trip to Lapland (which looked amazing by the way) and the planes do look quite nice, particularly the new seats to provide a little more leg room, which for a strapping 6.2" chap like myself is much appreciated.
One last question. Do you know what the best rows are to get a decent view of the IFE screens? By the look of your pictures it seemed to be around row 17 (if you were in row 21). I might think of booking seats if I can get a decent spec.
Kind Regards
Brian
The screens drop down from overhead and are approx. every 3 rows (1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 etc). You'll be able to see a screen from pretty much any seat. However, I find it's best to sit on a row 2 behind a screen. It's at a nice angle to view it there. If you're closer, you have to look upwards all the time whereas 2 rows it's more in your line of sight. It depends how tall you are to a certain extent and seating is always personal preference.

Hi sorry to bother you again, but from some of the posts I have read it says that seats are already allocated the night before, so does this mean even if i got to the check in desk early i could still end up at the back of the plane? Is there any point in getting to the check in desk early?
does anyone know the route TOM652 from LGW to SSH flying on may 11th is?
also, do thomson airways give out free headphones for movies?
cheers
The 737-300 used by Thomson Airways are they 154pax???.
I am flying BHX to NAP on Friday 15.55 TOM 7556. Does anyone know the flight number for the a/c being turned around into this flight. I can then check if there are delays on that flight and whether the aircraft has landed when we reach the airport.
737-300 have 148 seats. The one with winglets has 149.
Thank you for your reply, the one from Doncaster/Sheffield/Dalaman is it with or without winglets.
Thomson Airways normally pre-allocate seating the day before so there's not a lot of point in getting to the airport early. If you want to sit in a particular part of the aircraft, you might want to consider selecting your seat.

LGW-SSH will fly the following route (2,404 miles):
Headphones aren't complimentory and were £2.75 a set or £8 for a family pack of 4 the time I flew with them.

Anyone booked seats for June/July yet ??.
You mean what's the inbound aircraft before going on to operate your flight! It's looking like TOM7510/1 from Reus, or TOM7520/1 from Palma.
Darren
The aircraft at DSA are 733's (not wingleted). The designator for wingleted aircraft is 73C.

Thanks for all your help,Darren

Yes, but not with Thomson Airways!! I believe they are now allowing 'select your seat' up to 3 months in advance of departure dates. This applies to outboard seats. For centre seats, this is within 6 weeks of departure.

Does anyone know the telephone number for thomson airways that will allow me to reserve seats together? Im sort of panicking now, readin that they arrange their seats the day before so even im like the first person in the queue i may not get seats together? Were flying on the 3rd of June, do you still think i have time? Also are there seats that have a little more leg room than normal without being charged the extra leg rooms seats? This is prob a silly question as they would click on and charge you. If flying to Sharm btw if this helps?!
Can you please remind me of the phone number to pre-book seats. We have seats together but would like a window seat and was hoping getting to check-in early would give me that choice.Having paid for seats together I didn't really want to pay again but it looks like I may have to.
One of the reasons seats are allocated the day before is to try and accomodate everyones needs. A computer model looks through the bookings and allocates seats to a pre-determined model. eg those with meals are grouped together at the front, those that have selected their seats get them, those pre-booked are together and remaining passengers are fit as best as possible. Inevitably, not everyone will be seated together due to the nature of the aircraft configuration, but the vast majority are. It's like a game of tetris! The majority of passengers will be seated together and get their wish. This is easier, saves a bit of time at check-in and ensures as many people as possible are sat with their party. If you still want to select your seat, details are on Thomson Airways website. You can find cheap rate numbers on Saynoto0870.com. You've still got plenty of time to book seats if you wish to do so. Only extra legroom seating have any extra seat pitch. GowerL7 provided aircraft information on your previous post.

By the way my flight is Friday so is it too late to pre-select?
Refer to my post to weetaylor05 above. Seating together doesn't necassarily mean you'll get a window seat although there's a good chance you will on the 752 given it's configured 3-3 (but not guaranteed!).
