Anyway, as going to Montego Bay, was looking at the Thomson flights they have listed for there - and there's TUI flights to Brusells with T6C listed as the aircraft - any ideas?!
also all this fuss lately about atol and how schedualed flights arent covered...had me wondering....I didnt do this booking was done for me as part of a wedding party with First choice via Thomsons....my thomson/first choice paperwork or my confirmation from airtours dont mention a package....but flight costs not listed seperate either ...just one overall price per person for apartment plus options /meals , part of wedding party....and though it says coach transfers included there is transfers listed that have been charged for on top....think been taxi tranfer chosen as an option for us....
states £1 per perspn of costs to ATOL....but not listed seperate on costs as it is on my thomascook gran caneria paperwork..
Is this flight for Rhodes with Thomson airways a chartered flight or a schedualed flight
That's possible. However capacity increases normally show us as 'ad-hoc' on the dates scheduled or if it's for say 6 weeks, it would show up as an aircraft change between certain dates. It's currently listed as a 737-800 for the whole of the summer season and a 757-200 isn't due to be based / operated at STN.

It has nothing to do with the airline. They are a handling agent for cargo services. I'm not sure why the type is showing as T6C, but they are Jetair flights (Tui subsidiary) operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER.
Darren
MAN-RHO-MAN (TOM2388/9) are indeed operated bty a Boeing 767-300/ER (328Y - short haul). There's a seatin plan on the What aircraft? thread. The flight is a charter but it doesn't matter really as you have booked with Thomas Cook who are ABTA/ATOL bonded, that's who your contract is with.
Darren
Can anyone tell me what aircraft is used on the thomso flight out of B'ham to monastir on the 15th July?
Thanks
Welcome onboard
BHX-MIR-BHX (TOM474/5) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Refer to our What aircraft? thread for more details.
Darren
Thanks Darren.
one is in july to gran caneria with thomascook....a package
the second is in august for wedding in august with thomson/first choice....which was TOM2388....767-300...which mixed me up ...and wanted to know if was a charter or not
thanks a lot anyway as questions answered....dont have to worry about having been booked on a schedualed flight...which I dont think atol covers
ps.....what does the ER mean in 767-300ER
extended range
thanks wizard that was quick......suppose thats why they are used for medium haul ....they never list medium haul but they use the phrase.....
As Wizard Says, It Means Extended Range, They Can Cover 5,975 NM (11,065km) At Maximum Take Off Weight Compared With The Normal -300's Which Can Cover 3,950 NM (7,300km)
It Means They Can Be Used Transpacific

As Wizard mentions, ER show's it's the extended range version of the type. Boeing made two varients of the 767-300; the standard aircraft and the 'ER'. Thomson Airways only operate the ER version. The difference is extra fuel capacity and strengthened landing gear to cope with the extra weight, giving increased endurance / range, hence 'ER'.
Darren
I've found the answer on another forum and it is a 757-200, they have changed it for some reason on this date. So i've stopped worrying
Thanks for your help and time
Kirsty
I'm glad you're sorted TOM need to update their system in that case as it's not listed as that on my screen or BY-TOM-AMM-FCA who works for the airline!
Darren
does anyone know why i'm not being able to post pictures, it says i haven't reached my post limit, what is that!?
just looking at dalaman airport website and on the departure page it states that 5 flights are "ferry flights" what do they mean by this ?
are they returning to the uk empty ?
cheers
alexblfc,
As it's the start of the summer season, many flights are leaving the UK taking passengers out on the first flight of the season. Because they are the first flight, there aren't any passengers to bring back. Flights that return empty are known as ferry flight's.
