hi dazbo.....went to check out the meals on that site....and its spoilt my day :cry ......meals are going gormet.....by aldo zilli ......going italian.....love simple italian food....we all do....but gorgonzola ravioli and chicken fillet covered in smoked motzorella makes me feel sick just thinking about it....non of us will eat this....dont like anything smoked....and dont like ravioli....so looks like weve wasted £36.....gonna phone and ask can I have a refund and take own sandwiches ect.....should really be able to have alternative....choose when you book it....I didnt do this booking or wouldnt have ordered meals in first place...

they say no more school diners...I actually liked them....good plain simple nourishing satisfying food.

TWEETIE PIE,

I wouldn't trust everything on the Thomson Airways website, that's a little old now and needs updating I think. We certainly didn't get that on our last flights although it wasn't much better! I was never a fan of the Aldo Zilli meals, in fact the ones I've had I though were awful and didn't work particularly well for aircraft meals but everyone likes different. Maybe BY-TOM-AMM-FCA can give us an update on the latest offerings.

The website does need updating. We trialled the new meals a few weeks ago in the office and I must say the quality needs addressing, A lot of the meals come with mash(great for kids and toothless geriatrics) but for the rest of us it makes a very bland meal. A few of the meals are very salty to compensate. I have denoted meals available to premium long haul customers by (P)

Short Haul/Mid-Haul Breakfast:-
Plain Pork Sausage
Garlic tomato concasse
Hash Browns
Scrambled Eggs

Vegetarian Breakfast
Panfried Potatoes
Mushrooms
Vegan Sausage
Garlic Tomato Concasse

Childrens Meals:-
Breakfast
Pork Sausage(plain)
Baked Beans
Hash Brown

Main Meals
Fish Fingers
Mash Potato
Peas

Macoroni with Creamy Tomato Sauce(V)

Lunch/Dinner

Sausages with Leek mash

Chicken Pomodoro
with Mushroom Ragout & Tomotoe Concasse

Beef in Ale
with Mash

Mild Chicken Curry
With Rice and Dal Palak

Beef Stroganof
With Mash
Carrots and Peas

Mediterranean Chicken
New Potatoes
Sugar Snap Peas
Courgettes and Bell Peppers

Traditional Braised Beef
Potato Cubes
Sugar Snap Peas

Roast Chicken
Rosmary Potatoes
With Brocolli & Carrots
Sage & Onion stuffing

Spinach & Mushroom Lasagne
with Sugar Snap Peas

Tortellini with Mushrooms, Cream & Truffle Oil

These are a full list of all meals they are subject to change and be rotated so I won't list which order or flights they are specifically served on.

Hi forgive me if I have posted on the wrong thread I'm new to this!! We are flying to Ibiza in weds 13th may at. 7.05am from Doncaster airport. I'm a really nervous flyer and this will be the first time my children have flown also. Can anyone tell me if there will be tv screens in back of seat for them to watch or should I take my personal DVD player?? Thanks joolz x
Reply
Your on a 737-300, which doesn't have any TV screens so you'd be best to take a personal DVD player.

Great thanks for that!! Don't want to be stuck on a flight with a 3 year old without anything to watch so will get the DVD charged!!! I've heard breakfast is pretty grim on thomson flights is that true?? Got butterflys at the thought of flying now!! 4 days of panicking b4 we go!!
