linzi_lou,
Are you on the EZY6521? There won't be any IFE I'm afraid as the A319 fleet doesn't have it fitted. Only aircraft from the former GB fleet and those used on longer flights have IFE. EZY don't allocate seats so it's a bit of a free-for-all when boarding. You'll find plenty of comments on this thread about the rush etc to get seats. You might want to have a look through them and consider the opinions about Speedy boarding.
EDIT: You beat me to it again Gower!!

I have 1 booking to France which I have been asked for info and input it and another booking for France which I have not been asked for any info and I do not have any links within my Easyjet booking to input any details and I cannot go through via the link on EJs website saying 'this is where you need to input API' as there is still no place to put the info.
Saral, I faced a similar problem so contacted Easyjet via their contact us page. They initially emailed me back to tell me how to input the data on my booking to Dalaman, despite my message to them telling them there was no option to include the API. Eventually, they emailed me back and asked for the following details for all passengers: Nationality, Passport No., Place Issued, Issue Date, Expiry Date and Date of Birth. They have emailed me to confirm this information has been added to my booking, but there seems to be a problem with adding API to countries that recently require it. Maybe on new bookings this option is available? I am assuming this API is an Easyjet requirement as we have flown to Dalaman 3 times in the past few weeks with other airlines and this information was not requested.
It is a Spanish requirment.
It's now a requirement for travelling to several other countries including Turkey, Malta, Spain and Cyprus. Throughout 2009, the UK Government will implement its requirement for Advanced Passenger Information for all passengers travelling internationally into and out of the UK. This is being rolled out on a route by route basis over the coming year so you need to keep a looking out.

OK, thanks for the replies, still looking for someone that has travelled to France though without inputting API.....
Saral, Easyjet's website states that if you don't provide the API before the departure date, you'll need to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before flight time to ensure you have enough time to complete the API information.
If I had not booked another flight with them I would not have known anything about it either, if it was so important you would have thought they would have emailed everyone, have you heard of people not being able to fly as they had not given information they didnt know they had to give?
I assume you'd be able to fly as you would be required to provide the information at the airport before checking in, assuming you had enough time! This presumably is why Easyjet say you need to be at the airport at least 90 minutes before the flight if you haven't provided API beforehand. The information required is all on the passengers passport. If you ring or email Easyjet, they will add the API to your booking as they obviously have issues with some website bookings not able to accept API.
If You Do Not Provide Advanced Passenger Information (API) Before You Get To The Airport, Online Or By Other Means. Then You Need To Arrive At The Airport Earlier (at least 90 mins before flight) So That AIP Can Be Taken From You At The EasyJet Sales Desk In The Airport

I know of at least 2 other people that have booked for France and not been told they needed to give API.
Surely we cannot be the only 3 people in the country who have not been able to give the info, when this rule came in for Spain there was plenty of publicity in the press, but other than searching through travel forums there has been no mention in the press of this requirement.
Refer to my post above. It might not be a requirement for France as yet and that's why you've not been asked for the information. I would get to the airport 2 hours before your scheduled departure just in case so information can be given as check-in.
Darren
API is only required for Spain
As a result of new legislation from the EU, all passengers travelling from the UK, Switzerland and Morocco to Spain and since the 4th of February 2009 those travelling from/to the UK to/from Cyprus, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Malta, Netherlands and Turkey are required to provide Additional Passenger Information (API).
legislation from the EU"? I've got a flight booked with TUIfly (German scheduled division, booked in March) from Manchester to Stuttgart in September and they say nothing about it. Just in case they've forgotten something I've just checked Lufthansa's website, they don't appear to do it either and in the FAQ section is this
Does Lufthansa pass on reservation information to the authorities in countries other than the USA?
No. At present Lufthansa only allows US Customs to see reservation information
I ownder if easyjet could provide you with a copy of the "Does Lufthansa pass on reservation information to the authorities in countries other than the USA?
No. At present Lufthansa only allows US Customs to see reservation information
I agree Steve. Our Easyjet flights are to Dalaman and they require API for that route, yet in the past 5 weeks we've flown sectors to Dalaman with Thomas Cook, Onur Air and Monarch and no API was required so I guess it's an Easyjet requirement. Whether you legally have to provide it is one thing, but whether Easyjet will let you fly without giving the API is another!
post above regarding API. It doesn't apply to all airlines as yet, but Easyjet are one that it does apply to. Full name, Passport number, Nationality and Date of Birth etc is required for travel to Spain, Cyprus, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Turkey and the UK and will be rolled out through the year. API is a requirement for Turkey and Malta commencing on 4th March 2009 and this information is normally collected at check-in where your passport is scanned and the required information collected. If you don't have the option to supply the information or haven't been asked for it, I wouldn't worry. Just arrive at the airport 2 hours before your scheduled departure and it'll be collected then. If in doubt, contact the airline. More information on the DfT's website. I'm off to Turkey later this year and aren't worries about API requirment as I know the information is collected at check-in.

Please refer to my Darren
I'm trying to book flights with EZY from Luton to Warsaw for the first half of September but it is now showing me any availalble flights. Have they really not released the flights for September yet as i can't believe they are completely sold out already.
When you input those dates and route it comes up with 'this route for sale until 5th July'. It would appear that the dates after this have not been loaded.
I believe that Easyjet may be dropping that route from July.
