Thanks lordy, they are going very slowly so assume it was mossies, just seems strange that the others were all gone by the end of the week & this is now 4 weeks later. I went to the pharmacy & they sold me Betnovate cream which I have been applying.

As long as they go by middle of june when I go away again, doesn't look particularly nice on my ankle.

Thanks again.

Deb.

Ive just recieved my Avon skin so soft dry oil body spray (soft & fresh pale green bottle)

How does it work as an insect repellant, it smells like baby powder to me.
Reply
Citronella oil is one of the ingredients of Avon SSS...0.10% derived from Cymbopogon Winteratus which is a variety of the citronella plant. .....that's the secret of why it works.
AFAIK: It's never been officially tested as a insect repellant, so it can't be sold as one....not in the present packaging and formula.

I am panicing - have used mosquito milk for the past 7 or 8 years and not been bitten - I now find that there is no uk distributor for this product - it is made in Belgium and you can buy it inline from Dutch, german and Belgium chemists but they do not seem to ship to UK - what do I do?

HURRAH - its back in stock - Chemist Direct £6.45 and worth every penny they are also in the process of setting up website to sell it themselves - - but that is not active yet - this stuff worked in swarms of mosquitos at St Sprirodon in Corfu and has worked for me and my children for the last 7years even against our midges

What do people feel about plug in deterents for use in Asia. Are they any good worthwhile getting one? Any recommendations?

I was burning 1 of those citronella coils in the garden, it didn't make a difference to the flying bugs, it was the same as before I used it.

Do they really work against mosquitoes or have I wasted my money?.

Hi Tweetie Pie

I went in early August and didn't have too much of an issue although I do use a wrist band (lloks just like a band they give you on a all inclusive holiday), and I usually attract the little devils like bees to a honey pot.

thanks misspink.....where did you get the wrist bands....wouldnt mind trying them as one of my lot usually get eaten and I dont like using the sprays....I usually use plug ins in the rooms and spray airvents ...and eat lots of garlic prior to going
