A title is not on a British passport so it does not matter.

I work in travel and we get this all the time ie miss being booked as Mrs or Ms etc.

Its nothing to worry about, as long as the first name and last name match the passport.

Travelling with ryanair on thursday and yesterday morning added prority boarding and another bag to my booking. When I view my booking it now reads as follows:
2 Pax carrying 1 Checked in Bag
Pax carrying 1 checked in bag
Pax carrying 0 checked in bag
Pax carrying 0 checked in bag

There are 4 of us travelling.
Could anyone confirm that I am now able to check in 3 bags? Just that their wording has me a bit confused :duh
Reply
Pax is their shorthand term for passenger/s. However it does look as though there are 5 travelling with 3 bags.

That was the way I read it too. Hoping this won't cause me any problems at the airport.

Thanks for all your help! :)

That'll teach me to book flights after a few glasses of wine. :rofl

Help
Just printed out my boarding card and noticed a typo error in my partners expiry date for his passport but 2011 instead of 2013. What can I do, cannot get through to Ryanair.

Also just gone to manage my booking and it now states that my booking is not confirmed. Anybody any idea why this is. Its let me print out my boarding card, and sent me an email today with my itinery and the payment came out at the beginning of April of the bank. Dont know what to think

Thanks

If it has let you print off a boarding card your booking must be confirmed.

I've never seen a boarding card with a passport expiry date. I would have thought that the security/gate staff are looking more that the name on the boarding pass/ticket matched the passport. I can't see why they would worry about the passport expiry date for 2011 or 2013 - just so long as the passport was valid for travel and your return flight.

Hi
Thanks for your speedy reply, set my mind at ease. I have spent last couple of hours googling to see if others have had the same problems. Checked my emails and I have just received one from Ryanair with my itinery (sos about spelling) but checked on my booking and still says not confirmed, wonder why its changed. Anyhow, wont worry now as you say ive manged to print out my boarding card.

On the boarding card when youve given your api details it gives you your passport number and expiry date, do you think I should try again to contact ryanair to change or just chance it at the airport.

I would think it is the API information you need to ensure is correct, rather than it being correct on the boarding card.

After all the horrid tales I have heard about Ryanair I was dreading having to contact them today regarding changing my api info. However, after a dozen phone calls where everytime I pressed a number the call would be discontinued I found a website where it said press ## afterwards and you will be put straight through to a member of staff. Guess what it worked, changed it there and then no problems and no charge.

I can now travel on Wednesday yipee :sun2 without the thought of being turned away at the desk.

Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me.

My question is i am due to fly girona to prestwick on the 6th of July on flight No. FR7824 departing girona at 18:00 and arriving at 19:45.

I got a email saying that the flight has now been pushed forward to a 14:00 departure could anyone possibly tell me why?

Thanks

The flight seems to be retimed every Monday (but not Tuesday-Saturday). This isn't unusual, the outward flight for my holiday in September is on a Monday because it's the only day of the week it will work, in my case it's due to running completely different schedule on Sundays. The real question should be why it was sold at different times in the first place- did you book it way in advance?

Classic problem! That far in advance the reservations dept would be selling seats from a rough guess schedule whilst the planners were still making it come together - only sometimes it doesn't. Ryanair are not the only ones to do this, the tour companies are worse and I've even had Swiss do this to me (although they did give me an alternative route that should have cost triple what I paid!!).

Monarch are just as bad, I booked seats on a flight at 8:30 am which did'nt exsist ay 11:00am, and struggled to sort it out which I did eventually by writing to Customer services at Luton after having no joy on their diabolical premium rate telephone numbers.

Just a line to say a BIG THANK YOU. Have just returned from Salou having flown with Ryanair for the first time. We were able to buy prority boarding at the Stansted Ryanair information desk. Managed to be second on the plane so Son happy. On the way back from Reus they did check all bags and hand luggage. I was surprised that one person had 23kilos in her bag and seemed surprised that she was being charged. I am flying out with Ryanair in July and l am confident all will go well. Keep to the rules, print everything off and look for emails that come through to you with what needs to be done. :) Its cheap and cheerful and long may it last. Don't fancy paying for a pee!

Just back from Girona, or is it Gerona, seemed pretty relaxed about bags, lady in front 17.2kgs but ok. At the gate they were enforcing the 1 bag rule, didnt seem to matter what size or weight. Plenty of large sombreros filling the overhead racks though.

My lad has just made a flight booking and has spotted that he has misspelt the first name of one of the passengers - he put Doona instead of Donna. All other details are correct.

Any idea if this needs to be corrected before they fly or should they just go for it and assume it wont be noticed ?

Thanks, Chris

Never, ever assume anything with Ryanair! He really does need to get this corrected - the name on the booking MUST match what is in the passport - or for internal flights within the UK, whatever photo ID is being used. If it doesn't, the odds are that the person concerned won't be allowed to board. I don't think that he's got any choice other than to contact them and pay the amendment fee.
