Just booked Kingfisher via Mumbai for Sat Oct 3 until Fri Dec 18. The price was £400 exactly. Only flown with them interally and that was fine so I am hoping the London flight will be OK. I normally fly Virgin but they no longer fly to Mumbai.

My departing times are a wee bit different from Heathrow.

Dep 20.50 Arrv 10.40. Maybe because it's a Saturday.

On another travel forum someone has suggested that with the Heathrow, Bangalore to Goa flight you pack a change of clothing into your hand luggage because the plane taking you from Bangalore to Goa is small and cannot hold all the luggage so your cases could arrive the following day. Has anyone else heard of this, if so, is it commonplace? If it is, then I will not travel through Bangalore.

Do they provide free alcoholic drinks on the international flights?

I've just booked Kingisher too - have never flown scheduled before so also interested in the answer to the drinks question.

Hi Sheila
I have just booked Kingisher via Bangalore, but had already read in various places that some your luggage may not arrive till the next day.
I'll go prepared for this - but would be interested to know if this happens all the time or just sometimes.

Hi Javelin,

I think we would need to go prepared for this as well because I don't think I could find anything in my size quickly. I usually take a lot of stuff with me in my hand luggage (spare glasses, ipod, DS lite, books etc) so I may have to be really brutal and leave some items out of my carry on.

Ive been looking at the kingfisher flights via bangalore, but have read on another forum that your bags get offloaded (as prop plane) and are sent via bombay to arrive the next day! :que

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Hi Nanette
I would also be interested to know if this happens all the time - I have already booked via Bangalore and will go prepared but it would be nice to know the likelihood of this happening.

Hi i think what happens is they cant carry all the baggage, so they leave some behind and they are delivered to you the next day. I now someone who flew with them this year and one out of there three cases was delivered the next day. Dont think this happens if you fly via mumbai. Gel
