Last year I booked a holiday to the Austrian Alps because my husband wouldnt go to Turkey because it was to hot in July!
Last month in Turkey we ate in a Turkish restaurant every lunch time, eating traditional Turkish food that is hard to find in many resorts, but we stopped at Burger King on the way back to the hotel for an ice cream.

When our friends moaned about the hassling in Turkey,I told them if they dont like it dont come to Turkey.

I also used to go to Benidorm every winter and given the choice between there and the Seychelles(which I didnt like) I would choose Benidorm!
I also think it depends on what people spend on their holiday as to what their expectations are.
About 5 years ago we went to a small family run hotel in Elounda on a late deal.It turned out to be one of the best holidays we have ever had.
The hotel was basic, food was fabulous traditional Greek and the company of other guests was wonderful.
Some people were complaining but it turned out these had paid brochure price and probably expected more from a 3 star hotel than we did.
I just go on holiday to relax and not to find faults.
