Beef in Ale
Chicken Pomodoro
Medditeranean vegetables (limited quantity, 2/3 excluding pre ordered veggie meals)
Inbound
Mild Chicken Curry
Sausage with Leek Mash
Vegan Curry(again, limited amount 2/3 excluding pre ordered veggie meals)
The top favourites are Beef in Ale, Medditereanean vegetables and the Mild Chicken curry.
Just a quickie on the TOM2720/1 MAN-PMI-MAN.
Listed in the Manchester Airport website (and I think verified here) as a 738. Outbound we had an ex-FCA 752 and a Thomson Airways 752 on the return.
Both pretty decent aircraft - I have been in FlyJet verions of the same airframe!! - and interesting to note the different seats, with more apparent legroom on the return.
Would I be correct that the change of aircraft is due to increased demand in the peak season?

Hello, i am flying to the dominican on the 31st july 09 and the flight number is TOM132. I believe this is a boeing 767 300. i want to book my seats with 2 window seats (there is 4 of us going) is there a seating plan i could see and where in the aircraft is better to sit with 2 kids. also does anyone know what the menu is and what films are onboard
You are correct the flights are operated by the 767-300 which over the last few weeks has been a ex First Choice 767 which has seating
2-3-2 throughout the plane
I don't think there is a seating plan available but I would recommended asking for 2 pairs of the 2 window seats available then you have 2 sat on 1 row then another 2 behind. This is the config I have chosen when flying with 4 before.
As for meals and movies they are listed above or a few pages back. I believe the meals will be similar to my flight and the movies will be the same for any long haul service.
Thanks
Z.J.C
There have been lots of aircraft changes recently due to the knock-on effects of swine flue; less demand for long haul and greater demand for certain short / mid haul so capacity has been increased on some routes. Your's is one such route where the 738 was increased to a 752. The exThomsonfly aircraft have slimline recaro seats fited. The seats have the same ovall seat pitch, with the seats have thinner frames and the seat back pocket is at the top of the seat rather then the bottom. This gives you more more for the same seat pitch.

As z.j.c mentions, your flights are scheduled to be operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide. We can't post a seating plan for copyright reasons, but the aircraft is configured 2-3-2 throughout with rows 1-9 (forward cabin) premium seating and 11 - 39 economy. Seating is personal preference and they don't vary much anyway. Refer to my trip reports on the aircraft guide for more information. I posted the long haul IFE on page 135 of this thread and BY-TOM-AMM-FCA has posted meal information above.

May be a long shot but I am travelling to Dominican Republic with Thomson Airlines on 2nd February 2010 from Birmingham and I am after as much info on the plane as I can get i.e. seating plan, leg room, meals etc. Would anyone be able to help or put me in the right direction. Flight number out is TOM284, flight in is TOM285.
Thanks
Mark
While your on a roll can you also inform me where i can find out the exact time our flight leaves manchester. broucher says 10.30 and the travel agent girl seems to think its now 09.15 (TOM132 on friday 31st July 09)
Best thing to do would be track it on the Manchester Airport website or Thomsonfly website or try to place a flight only booking on thomsonfly.co.uk and see what time that comes up with.
Thomsonfly Website says
Flight Depart Arrive
TOM 0132 10:30 14:30
The information I have says it departs at 09:30AM but the Thomson information I would say is more to go by. When you get your flight tickets it will display the correct time.

Its a little early to tell all the details you asked for with the flight not being well next year.
The flight will be operated on the 767-300 which I would imagine will be a ex First Choice aircraft which has the seating
2-3-2 thorough the cabin. This could change as not much information will be available at the present time.
There are no seating plans available as of yet for Thomson aircraft so again you will have to sit on it and wait for a while.
I would say come back to us nearer the time you fly when all the information will be available
Sorry for any inconvenience but your a tad early!

Welcome onboard
Your flights are operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. Refer to our What Aircraft? guide for aircraft information. You'll find meal information above and to get an idea of the sort of IFE on offer, I've posted the current listing on page 135.

Can any of you experts out there shed some light on what is happoening to TOM5743 - due to have left Tenerife for Luton yesterday but was delayed (techincal) and then finally cancelled until this morning then rescheduled until earlier this evening as they were still repairing but now delayed again as apparetly crew is ill. They are all now waiting to hear what is going on (son on flight). Am guessing that they are not going to get on a flight at all again today but anyone got any inside info?
So I just rang Thomson to select my seats on flight out to corfu dep MAN 0635, totally thinking it was a 738 (as previously discussed on here) and she told me it was a 757
Now I don't know what to believe. Not impressed either that to select my seat at the front (required for fear and claustrophobia reasons) i have to be having a meal and pay for the seats - so for 2 of us that'll be £74 the cheeky things. Don't mind paying it but want to be sure of what aircraft I'm on before I pay out for specific seats
Any updates/thoughts? I think I believe you more than the girl at Thomsons but I'm worried now
I have made the request to be in the welfare seats at the very front but that's only a request, rather than a proper booking
Why the different info on aircraft type do you think?
Cheers (again!)
Clare
As you may have seen on several posts recently, some flights have had an increase in capacity (ie larger aircraft) due to reduced demand in long haul and greater demand in short / medium haul because of swine flu. Over the last few weeks, there's been a lot of changes to many flights. We can only give aircraft information available to us. Some flights have just been changed and we therefore don't always have up to the minute information. If after phoning you've been told it's now a 757-200, that's what you'll be on. It makes little difference from a passengers perspective other than the screens being located in a different place.
