Franny
it's all sounding very positive for you, I think you can relax a tad now.
Great news Franny at least they are on their way
Hi StevieH, make sure that when putting in your web reference that you put in numbers for 0 and not the letter.
Well I think it is totally unacceptable and shows the lack of respect to their clients.
Posted visa application to Hayes last Tuesday 13 October recieved back today by DX courier service just over a week great
I am almost tempted to come to Manchester to wave you off !!!!!!
http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/postal-app.aspx this is the relevent paragraph
With effect from the 20thof July 2009, India Visa application center in Hayes has been using DX secure for returning the documents to the applicants who wish to buy the envelope from us for a nominal charge of £7.40. DX secure http://www.thedx.co.uk offer a trusted, reliable and secure service with a signed for delivery by the recipient. This service will be accordingly extended to all India Visa application centers in the U.K and it is not effected by the Royal mail strike.
If you send an SDE for the return of your passport then its going to come back by Royal Mail, but if you pay online for its return then VSF are now using DX Courier Services, cost a bit more but it works got ours back today, its explained here With effect from the 20thof July 2009, India Visa application center in Hayes has been using DX secure for returning the documents to the applicants who wish to buy the envelope from us for a nominal charge of £7.40. Iam a lot more positive after this afternoons update on the system. just a little bit anxious waiting for the post now.Hey Dave no need for you to travel to manchester to
I bet the system will go into meltdown/overload..Fingers Toes legs eyes all crossed for you..
Franny, my updates have been exactly the same on the same dates as yours so now I'm hoping they arrive today too!
Now the "posties" are back at work, will anyone get their visas today?
Ours arrived 5 minutes ago via DX courier - hurrah! Roll on 10th December.
Ive got fingers and toes crossed for Franny! To be honest the online application for me was easier than postal two years ago.
I notice on Tripadvisor that someone has exactly the same issue as you.
So what's the status with your application?
Did VFS say why they wanted you to contact them?
What was the 'further information' that they needed from you?
Our application went very smoothly, so no complaints from me against VFS.
Applied online, paid online, posted on a Monday at 5pm SD, returned with visas Friday of same week before midday.
Great news Helen.................Franny, any news

I am so happy for you Franny. Have a really wonderful holiday
