Thanks dave, we are ok for luggage allowance as we are flying with kingfisher and have 45kg each plus hand luggage, Have already packed the baileys so might just buy the gin and vodka when i arrive in goa, i thought someone told me last year that you could use the duty free in goa when you arrive. (might be having a seniour moment though :D ) i'm sure someone will have the answer. :cheers Gel

If you arrive in Goa direct from the uk I am almost certain you can go through the duty free, they want our money, its the same entering Turkey, most people are not interested in duty free at that stage of their journey they just want to get their luggage and get to their transport

Can anyone help ???? Four of us want to go to Goa in January 2011. We went this year in November with Thomas Cook, but we are looking at doing it ourselves for 2011, What I need to know is how far in advance can you book with Kingfisher, (or any other airline) and what days do they fly.

Thanks in advance
The Preacher.

The Preacher,

With Most of The Scheduled airlines it is 330 days in advance that you can book

Does anyone know if 2 people can take 3 suitcases with 30kg in each case? Last time we went we took 2 pieces of luggage each, one with 30kg and the other 15kgs. Just wondered if we could cut down on a bag. Thanks

sleep_r_us,

Flights are operated by Airbus A330-200. Kingfisher Class is configured 2-4-2 (rows 11-35). Kingfisher First are arranged 2-2-2 from rows 1 -5.

lindyloo300,

Luggage allowance is detailed on Kinfishers website. You can normally take 2 pieces each so 3 between 2 of you should be fine. As long as you don't exceed your allowance, I can't see a problem. However I would contact the airline to make sure.

Hi Darren

Thank you for your reply.

I have contacted Kingfisher regarding my luggage question and I have got conflicting replies. I sent an email, and was told it would be fine. Then when I recently booked my seats on the phone, I thought I'd just double check the email was correct. I was told that 2 pieces of 23kg luggage each person, and if I exceeded 23kgs I would be charged excess baggage.

I just wondered if anyone had actually travelled with 3 x 30kg cases between 2 people, and didn't have a problem.

Thanks

Lindyloo..Ive been sent a email with the allownace on and ours say 2 x pieces of luggage per person not exceeding 23kgs each piece plus handluggage so that means each one of us has 46kgs hold luggage but each suitcase not to go over 23kgs dont fancy taking/pulling 2 suitcases about and carrying handluggage :yikes...Its very generous weight allowance we are only used to having 15kgs..Hope this makes sense..
