Cobax,
I suggest that you use your 'My easyJet' to send them a query. This is usually the best way.
As you may know by now, there were quite a large number of emails sent out in error, and your flights will still be there. However, this doesn't help your situation.
Once contacted, easyJet Customer Services are usually very good.
Have sent e-mail requesting full refund as their original e-mail & received standard acknowledgement that they will respond to my e-mail as soon as possible
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1250080/EasyJet-email-blunder-causes-travel-chaos.html
i have put a news link about it from the daily mail but doesn't seem to work, but i am sure you can look it up
When I got first email I had the choice of accepting alternative times or requesting full refund. Flight to Palma was moved back by 4.3/4 hrs to 14.05 which would have been ok but return flight changed from departing at 17.25 to dep 23.25 a change of 6 hours. There was a link in the email which took you to the Easyjet site & I then selected the full refund option.
When the second email came through advising the flights hadn't been cancelled, the only choices were to accept the alternative times or request a credit.
Unfortunately in that time I had already booked alternative flights.
Have emailed Easyjet advising them I still require a refund but not heard anything yet. Have tried to ring but no luck
Cobax
Thanks.
I see that you can now do online-check-in with hold luggage. We will have 2 hold bags.
Can anyone tell me how this works, e.g. they have a drop off point where you leave your bags, but what about weighing them to check they are not over the 20Kg. Does this happen, if so where/when?
Also, when you check in online are you given a boarding pass? from other posts I see that the
boarding can be a bit of a scrum as no seats are pre-allocated -people who check in early get to board first (they are given an A or B boarding pass). OK - so if you check-in online do you get your boarding pass then and does this allow you to board first (A) pass.
Hope someone can help.
many thanks
Once you've checked-in online, you'll have to check-in your luggage at the airport at the designated Easyjet desk(s). Depending on the queue lengths, online check-in doesn't always save time if you're taking luggage with you. Bags will be weighted and checked-in as normal at this point. When you check-in online, you'll be able to print your boarding pass at home. This will be an A4 sheet with a secure barcode at the bottom. This mustn't be removed from the main page. Gate staff with do that. The boarding pass is essentially the same as what you would get if you check-in at the airport, it has the same role. Boarding priority is explained on Easyjets website.

Boarding has now been simplified:-
1 - those whose who have paid extra for speedy boarding,
2 - those who need assistance or who have small children,
3 - all others regardless of whether they have checked in online or not.
Unless you come into either of the first 2 groups you will board with all the others (and join the scrum).
If you want to be sure of being able to board first then you will have to pay for speedy boarding. I suspect being August the flights will be full so it may be worthwhile but that is up to you.
The one reason I try and avoid Easyjet if at all possible is the whole boarding procedure - it really seems to bring out the worst in people - Gatwick was somewhat better than Stansted at controlling the boarding but there are always going to be those who think the rules don't apply to them and try and barge past everyone else.

We fancied going later in the year (Oct/Nov) but when I bring up the timetable it just says "no flights available". In the past even if the flights weren't on sale yet it would still tell you when the flights left/returned.
Hi I'm waiting for flights from Gatwick for later in the year, the EJ webpage suggests that flights will be available in April.
Just going back to the on-line check in with hold luggage. We used this for our New year's eve break to Prague. I printed out the boarding cards for the outward and return flights and was instructed to just drop the suitcase off at one of the designated areas at the airport. This is supposed to save time at the check in desks. however, I failed to see any such area in Bristol and ended up going through the normal check-in desk. luckily there wasn't a queue so we were through in no time.
When we arrived at Prague airport for the return flight there were already loads queuing at the check-in desks (although they were yet to open). I noticed a sign above the first desk that said Speedy boarding and on-line check in only. There was no-one queuing there and I was lucky enough to be at the front when the desk opened. Had I not done the on-line check-in, we most definitely would have been at the end of a long queue at one of the other desks.
It made no difference to the way we boarded though and I think it's pot luck which group you get allocated.
Last year we booked speedy booking but I haven't bothered this year as it would have been an extra £50 and I assume we can get on wit the 2nd group anyway. Now I'm not so sure whether I have done the right thing or not.
Has anyone else gone with young children without speedy booking? Was it ok?
I think that when they called those with children at Malta airport it was under 5's - it must be on the website somewhere.
I must say that at Gatwick they were fairly strictly enforcing the boarding order - not always the case at Stansted.
Pippa
Thanks Pippa, my children are 3 and 5. We are flying from Gatwick.
I booked the hotel and flight through an online tour operator and i would like to pay for the speedy boarding, can i still do that? if yes how?
second question, do easyjet sell snacks, drinks, beers and wines on board their flights?
Thanks.
Easyjet sell a range of snacks and drinks onboard their flights. You'll find catering information on Easyjet Traveller Magazine. You'll need to register with Ink Publishing to view it. Could you not purchase speedy Boarding via the agent? I don't think you can add it to your booking unless you have an Easyjet account. Your other options are listed on Easyjets website.

EasyJet have released their flights from Gatwick and Stansted (presumably others too) for 1 to 30 October 2010. Pity it wasn't 31 October. Prices for half term expensive, of course, but this is our first encounter with such things! No doubt we'll get used to it!
I added speedy boarding by phoning Easyjet, they asked for the travel agents Ref No and address.
Thanks for your replys, does anyone know if they use the 319 or 320 on the dalaman route from manchester, plus is it really worth going for the speedy boarding?
