Just went to book literally then and now you can't buy specific seats outbound so I guess they've updated it to stop people buying seats they can't honour. Early check in for us outbound but managed to buy exit seats inbound which is the overnighter so I'm not too displeased - just pleased to be going. Ta for all your help there matey.

Hi Dazbo,

Wonder if you would kindly do some digging for me...
I chose seats 9D&9E for flights TCX174K/L (I specifically chose these as they are directly behind the bulkhead) but when I picked my tickets up today, there is a flight plan in the booklet and its showing seats 8 as being behind the bulkhead. As you can imagine I am a little confused as to what seat plan is correct - the one on YSYC or the flight booklets?.

I believe I am flying on a Airbus A330-200. I am flying on 13/05 (fingers crossed)

Thanks in advance

Candyboo,

There are two version of A332's as the fleet comprises of original Thomas Cook aircraft and My Travel / Airtours as they merged in 2008. You should be flying on a former Thomas Cook aircraft where the ecomony section start at row 9. The My Travel / Airtours aircraft have 3 seats on row 8 (centre), the plan in your ticket booklet. Aircraft do rotate however. Both seating plans are linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

wiggleworth,

As TWEETIE PIE mentions, TCX078K/L is scheduled to be operated by an Airbus A320-200.

Hi Darren

I have just read on another forum that 3 of the A330's are currently flying without IFE due to a lack of parts and expect the situation to remain the same for 2/3 weeks. Do you know anything about this?

Sunaddict,

I've not heard anything about that.

Hi there Darren,

Could you please possibly tell me which aircraft is scheduled for flight TCX062K to Puerta Plata in the Dominican Republic. Flying tommorrow at 10.20 form Manchester.

Many Thanks.

I also read on another forum (TA I think?) that some of TC aircrafts would be flying without IFE.

Flint62,

As you can imagine, things are up in the air at the moment (probably the wrong phrase to use, but you know what I mean!) due to aircraft and schedules being swapped and changed for the repatriation effort after the volcanic ash problems. The inbound aircraft would normally be TCX031K/L (Holguin & Varadero, Cuba). I haven't got the ACARS information for today as yet and with aircraft going all over the place at the moment on positiong and other flights, it's hard to work out which it is. I'll check again later for you to see what's operating the TCX031K/L, I think it's one of G-OJMB or C.

Hi can you please tell me what plane is used for TCX709K and TCX709L. We booked seats 26b, c and d as extra leg room seats back in august. Just look at the booking on line and it looks like they have changed the plane. They are now not extra leg room seats.

oliday,

Things are in a state of flux at TCX at the moment. If you've booked extra legroom seats, these should still be honoured even though the actual seat number may have changed. How many rows of seats are showing? It was originally an Airbus A321-200 but may have been increased to a Boeing 757-2/300.

Hi darren it is showing 40 rows. We have 3 extra leg room seats booked and 2 seats behind.
Thanks Lorraine

oliday,

That's a Boeing 757-200 as suspected. Extra legroom rows are 11 and 31 on that type.
