briggsy2007,

You can't go off previous punctuality records as delays can happen at any time and for any number of reason. Past performance doesn't suggest your flight will leave on time or not. If your flight has changed, the airline will notify you. Flight times will be confirmed when you receive your tickets.

Time to go home, :(. Can you tell me what aircraft is TCX114k GLA-LPA and what route it operates beforehand. Many thanks. Neil

NeilTheBeaver,

It should be a Boeing 757-200. And most probably will have operated in from Madeira Airport before hand as TCX606L

Have a great flight :tup

Gregg,

IFE is no longer shown on any flight operated by the narrow bodied aircraft; Boeing 757-200/300 and Airbus A320/1. Your flight is operated by a narrow bodied aircraft so no IFE i'm afraid.

getting different info (TCX297) on the SSH site.

I'd call the airline or Glasgow Airport.

Sharm airport shows flight TCX297 from Glasgow due to depart at 07:35 and to arrive 15:20 local time, there are no matches for any TCX flight 335 on any flight tracker.

Probably an incorrect flight code on Glasgow Airport website.

Flight to Vegas, Airbus a330-200

We'v pre booked on the very back row where there are two seats, can anyone confirm if the armrest go up? My girlfrind and I are quite large and are a little worried about fittng there if they dont go up.

Thanks for any info.

If this is posted in the wrong place, my apologies, a point in the right direction would be great.

Thanks again.

Hi Tiny,

Should go on the flights forum but don't worry, one of the admins will do it for you.

I don't believe the arm rests do fold away, certainly not all the way. Also, as it's the back row, the seats will generally only recline an inch or two.

Mandy.Stew,

I would agree with Kiltman. Some flight numbers change through the season so I suspect they're showing an old flight number on the website and your tickets are the new flight number. As long as you're at the airport at the times specified, you'll be fine.

Cheers for the reply.

Slightly worried to be honest, I told the the GF to book exit seats but she was told the arm rests are fixed in place and immovable. Tried to get through to TC airlines for the past 2 weeks EVERYTIME I call I get the same message "We're sorry but all our lines are busy at the moment, please try back later" - you open at 9am and I called at 9.01 am arrrgggghhhh!!!

Anyhoo, do you have any suggestions on what I should do at this point? Whats the chances of the flight being fully booked hence no chance we can move when we get on the plane? How about asking for an upgrade when we're at the checkin? I dont mind paying whatever, but to be uncomfortable as much as we will be if the arms dont go up, for 10 hours, will be gutting.

We'll be in seats 41A & 41B if anyone has any experience of these seats.

tinymcfc,

Arm rests do retract in the middle of the seats as far as I know other than on exit rows due to the position of tray tables and seat back screens (they fold in to the arm rests). We can't (aren't permitted) to comment on load factors, but flights are normally sold to capacity in order to maximise profitability. A half empty aircraft is no good to anyone! There's a slim chance of an upgrade (paying) at check-in as premium seats are normally booked well in advance and if there are seats available, they'll generally be offered for sale before the flight. Premium seats are only 1" wider than economy seats. I quite like the pairs of seats at the rear, I've sat in them on several A330/A340's.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I guess theres not much I can do for the moment and I'll have to see what happens when I board. I went away September last year, more or less the same size as I am now, sat in the exit seats where the arms rests didnt fold up - this was an ok journey but after 3 hours became very uncomfortable, forunately the flight was 3hours and 20 minutes so I just grinned and beared it. However if I could have folded the armrests up I would have been fine. Heres hoping!

Tiny.

p.s. Determined to come back on this site next year after another trip to the old U S of A is booked and fitting in a seat isnt a problem! lol

Thanks again.

jayntez,

Thomas Cook ceased IFE on their narrow bodied fleet commencing 1st May 2010. It's still available on the wide bodied fleet. Depending on the flight you are on and therefore the aircraft type, you may or may not have IFE on the flight. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). If you let us know the flight you are on, we can see which aircraft type is being used and advise you further. If you've already been told portable IFE is available for hire, you'll be on a narrow bodied aircraft.
