This is driving me mad Now I'm getting message: 'There is a problem with this website's security certificate'. Please can someone help by checking if you can access the form?, that way I will know if it is a genuine problem with the website or something I' doing wrong. I just want to get them filled in!
Thanks
A very frustrated Tracy
Don't panic Tracy, it isn't your fault!! It would appear that quite a few people are having exactly the same problems today, from what I have just read on another forum. It may be best to leave it until tomorrow when hopefully VFS will have sorted out the problem.
Phew thanks Squigs. Hope they get it sorted tomorrow as a friend is taking them to Birmingham for us on Tuesday.
If you elect to take your application in person do you have to be physically present or can someone else take them in for you?
I hope they can? Our friends took them last year without any problems but that was before all these changes! I'll let you know if we encounter any problems.
On one of the visits a guy in the consulate advised me that you can only hand in an application if its for a family member, not friends so I told him my friend was my sister he seemed to except that.
The next time I went (to the new Visa Centre in Rose Street) it wasnt questioned at all and he took the 4 applications off me
I think they just make the rules up as they go along!
Sent my application on 23/11/10 and it was received and signed for at Hayes 24/11/10 and payment was taken from my bank account on that date. But when I try to track my application I get the message "sorry record not found" anyone any idea if this is normal? Should I be worried and do I need to contact anyone? and how. Travel date is 28 dec
Hi everyone well just got back from goswell road took 14 applications and it was quite painless we got there at 8.45 and was all done by 9.30,the only problem we had was with the one person that had paid on line we had her reciept and she had checked and the payment had been taken from her account but it was still showing as not paid so i had to pay again so its now up to her to try and get a refund. Also was a bit annoyed as they were still accepting the old size photo`s.I had got everyone to change their pics for the new size (today though is the last day),i was told that they should be back by thursday so fingers crossed !!!!!

Double check your entries, other than I can't help.
i posted my visa form on 4/11/10.
to manchester it arived on the 5/11/10.
i used royal mail special delivery.
how do they send my passport back.
i never put a return enverlope.
with my passport photoes normel size and visa form.
unless things have changed yet again, all postal applications should be sent to Hayes.
I would suggest you phone Manchester and ask if they have forwarded your application to Hayes.
Just had a email from visa application centre asking for more proof of postage, I posted it on the 4/11/10 they got it on the 5/11/10, where I posted it to and my details.
It looks like there could be big problems with the VFS website.
Please be aware!!

totally at my wits end ...infact anyone bringing kids out to Goa this year beware... you will have plentiful visa issues if our experience is anything to go on

Not to scaremonger but looks like there are some gremlins in the on-line visa service and some security issues.
Please be wary about inputting data and especially the on-line payment area!

It looks like I am going to have to book a days holiday from work and go myself as we have booked for the 7th Jan and time is ticking by (I'm starting to panic!). I paid online so I'm hoping everything is OK especially with all the posts about security issues. I'll keep checking my bank online! I have paid stating that they will be hand delivered to Birmingham but I live in Leeds so Stockport is nearer. Does anyone know if Stockport will accept them without me having to pay again?
1. When I go through the booking process, do I create an appt for each of the 3 applications - ie pay 3 times ? Are you able to 'connect' the 3 to the same appt ? How does this work ?
2. Being a minor, my daughter's passport has no signature. Does she, therefore, still need to sign the form ?
Many thanks.
Chilly
