Yes they send you a receipt with the application number on it
Went to VFS at Birmingham this morning, got there at about 06:45, parked in same road as I was early (there is only about 6 spaces) doors opened at 08:20 number called, both applications submitted by 08:45
Now the wait begins
how do i pay for visas i must have done something wrong when printing forms off so now i will have 2 pay by postal order been 2 postoffice all i come back whith is pre paid envelopes dosent say on forms where postal order should be made 2 postmaster went through my forms dosent know either and how can i send itinery for holiday when i have not booked yet im so stressed can aybody help again
Can you retrieve your application and get to that point and pay? Don't worry if you don't want to make an appointment, the website is a bit confusing there.
If not (and nobody else on here can give better advice about paying) your postal order should be made payable to:
VF Services UK Ltd
You can confirm that on this link:
http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/touristvisa_fees.html
I'm not sure what you mean about sending your itinerary.
Where does it ask for this on the VFS website?
Well here goes,I just looked at the visa form & right away whats educational qualifications & national id. Please help before I go any further.I know it must sound really stupid but I dont want any more stress than last year.
Hi, can anyone tell me, if I need to sign the 2nd photo on my visa or just leave it blank, the 1st photo is attached/stuck to the visa application, appreciate your reply
Me again with yet another dilemma. My daughter lost her passport & now has a new one.The question about visits to INDIA where they need the numbers from previous visa is causing a problem as that would be in her lost passport ,what do you have to answer to that. Please if anyone can help I would be very grateful.Head starting to buzz already xx
thank you prettypollycat for the info thats where i lost my way on the website when it said pay and collect ,anyway ive sent the forms off pictures and everything got my fingers crossed all goes well ,on the vsglobal site it says on the do list please submit a confirmed and detailed itinery if applying for a double /triple entry visa however this does not guarantee the issurance of a visa,i dont think this applies 2 me thanks again i would have been lost without yous all

Education I put secondary higher, they are hardly likely to check
NI number put "NA" as it means National Identity number

You are really stuck on this one, you either just blag it & leave the previous travel to India off along with the previous Visa number or you have to try & get in touch with the VFS/Indian Consulate & try to obtain the details which will according to peoples past dealings will be a nightmare.

Tracked ours and it said under process as of the 28th January - soooo hoping we havent messed up and passports/visas come back without any issues Stressing out big time
I just dropped off my visa application by hand yesterday to the Edinburgh VFS. They told me that things are running rather more slowly than usual and that I should expect a delay of between 8 and 10 working days before I can collect it. Postal takes a little longer than that at present I'm told.
