We keep an eye on prices using sites like travel supermarket, travel republic, opoda and also check direct with the airline websites but we normally end up using Travelocity or E booker as booking agents
Once again we are flying with Jet, mainly due to the generous luggage allowance and the prices of the economy flight has varied by £500 and business class by over £1000 in only a couple of months

Thanks for answering really quickly. We are looking, but I have tried to book flights only paying deposit and they are really not interested. So I was just curious which company now take deposits. Dial a Flight use to, but they have stopped now.

I used Southall travel,booked last week £546 paid £175 per person deposit going 8th march for 3weeks

Advice from a travel agent:
If you're searching for flights and notice the prices have gone up since you last visited the site.... clear your cookies.
The agent said that these are used to monitor who is interested in certain flights, then the website recognizes a returning potential customer and often displays a higher price.

May I make a general positive comment on Holiday Truths Forum....
I'm so pleased to read genuine and interesting contributions from your members.
I have been a member of another forum (which I will be polite enough not to name) where the rudeness factor was appalling.
Members there would often submit genuine questions and then receive rude, sarcastic and unpleasant comments from others (this seemed to be down to a particular group of 'regulars').
I used to go through many (apparently interesting) threads and they were often riddled with comments, deleted by moderators, due to being 'inappropraiate'. There were even postings from people advertising 'call girls' services in Goa.
Thanks for a great forum service here which I will enjoy sharing with other members :-)

We've booked.
Been looking for a while and it looked like we were getting nowhere.
Ended up plumping for Air India LHR to GOI via BOM 8th Nov till 26th
Cost just over 1k for 2
We weighed up the difference in cost between flying back in an evening or early morning.
The morning flighs are £200 more and you are on a later plane back to the uk.
With the waiting In Mumbai it works out about the same.
So saved the 200 quid and are going on evening flight.
Used up about all my holiday entitlement but at least

Well we have a luggage capacity of 92kg and only the weight of a few books a loincloth & a bikini to pack.
