HI, will be flying East Midlands-Lanzarote with Monarch on 6th Dec. Would anyone have any idea if this will be operated by Monarch of one of their leased planes?

Mant thanks

Wusty,

Welcome onboard :tup
Please quote flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are often several flights. EMA-ACE-EMA (ZB7478/9) are operated by Airbus A320-200 (Monarch).

Hi Darren
Do you know if Monarch will have sorted out their problems with various forms of leasing by next summer.
I was hoping to book a day flight Manchester to Dalaman on July 22nd 2013 ZB664 and returning 29 July ZB665.
My son was delayed at Barcelona airport for 7hrs last thursday 18/10/12. Incoming flight from MAN delayed due to " maintenance" He eventually came back on a Jet2.
An update from anyone would be appreciated.
Cheers.

holidaylover,

I don't work for Monarch so I can't say what's going on internally and what the plans are for next year. However, there are 2 new Airbus A321-200's due in quarter 1 of 2013 and I hear there are 4 Airbus A320-200NEO's being leased for summer 2013 (these are new aircraft) so I assume plans being considered for next year.

Afternoon Darren.

Could you tell me what the aircraft is likely to be 31/07/13 LEEDS/BRADFORD/LARNACA ZB7508 and 14/08/13 LARNACA to LEEDS/BRADFORD ZB7509.

Is it worth £38 per person to go for extra legroom?

Which are the best seats to book?
Reply
littlebw,

LBA-LCA-LBA (ZB7508/9) are operated by Airbus A320-200. It's persoinal preference if you think extra legroom is worth it or not, but it's not a short flight so might be worth it to you. There are no 'best' seats. Seating is personal preference. All seats offer the same basic facilities, other than extra legroom so it's whatever you prefer, eg window, isle, front or back.

wow many thanks im just about to book

How are these seats compared to jet2?

no seats quieter than others?

littlebw,

There's not much in it really. You can compare aircraft and seating with the information on our What Aircraft? guide (linik below). It would be down to flight times and costs for me rather than the carrier / aircraft. There are no quieter seats, I'd just avoid ones near to the galley are toilets.

I have just read that Monarch have pulled NCL-SFB & CWL-SFB for next summer due to lack of sales.

As they're charter flights it depends on whether the tour operator, Cosmos, has decided not to sell holidays from those airports. If the flights have been cancelled it is probably because Cosmos have withdrawn Florida from NCL and CWL.

Hi Darren, I have just checked the tenerife flghts with Monarch as you sugested before, thanks!

ZB 564/5 Man-TFS on 28th Dec is showing as a wide bodied plane, will this be an A300 or A330?

cheers

Looking at the seating plan on their website it is an A330 going out, but narrow bodied coming back on the 11th January. They are subject to change though, as I've found out the last two years, when booking seats on an A330 I've ended up on an A300.

james 84,

It's the A330-200 outbound. One of the AB4's (G-MONR) has just been retired. G-MONS will be retired at the end of summer 2013 season, the other 2 (G-MAJS / OJMR) at the end of summer 2014.
