i just sent an e-mail to a regular Alykanas tripper.
havent seen him around for a while on the zante site so i'm not sure if he'll come over here and reply to you.
You could always ask here http://www.forums.zanteweb.gr/zante/4 a very friendly & knowledgeable forum for Alykes and Alykanas.
paul..
Thanks Paul

Thats a great forum for Alykes & Alykanas and zakynthos in general.
There's the Alykes and Alykes regualars.. .. the regulars forum is for general chit chat / gossip as its such a friendly place. kind of like general chat here @ H-T..
Some of the members have been going since the early 80's so plenty of good advice at hand and i've bumped into a few here while posting replies. And some of the members who pop in now and then and keep us upto date with local news live on the island or are in touch by phone and e-mail with others so its a great resource for holiday info..
paul.
We went to Alikanas last July and had a great time unfortunately we never stopped at the alikanas beach wish we had. The resort is really nice very family orientated. The beach is great and the sea is very shallow for about 3 to 500 meters out and they are loads of water sports. The best restaurant is medusas at the top of the village Jorgan and is family make you very welcome and the food is great.

We had a fantastic holiday, both properties are only about 3 years old. Not typical Greek accomodation by any standards, more in keeping with what you'd find in the Canaries. Our studio was huge! Very clean and there were four excellent swimming pools. Both properties are only about five minutes away from the restaurants and shops. But an even better walk is along the beach to the next village Alykes (10 mins away) even more tavernas and bars.
I've written a review in the hotels section. Any more info you want PM me.

Thanks Paul it is a good site, quite fancy it myself for next year, waiting for reports off my friends for when they come back as we like similar things but does look a very nice place, thanks for your help
Sorry not picked them up earlier - had eye op on 26th and have only just got back on computer
We are actually flying with Kosmar and staying at, according to the brochure Alykanas Beach Studio & Apartments but I think it is also called Alykanas Beach Apart-Hotel. Going end of July for two weeks - 2 bed apartment - CAN'T WAIT
Sounds a brill place
Ali xx
Look forward to a report on your return, I go there in the middle of August.
The brouchure states flight is with Air 2000 but when the payment invoice came through it stated Monarch at a different time of the day!!!
Am expecting changes again before we go - just hope they are good changes not bad
Will let you know what its like on our return
Ali
Any photos of Alykanas would be great

Sorry I think its the wrong place.
Keep editing this one, it looks like it is the right place, the satelite tv in all rooms threw me a bit, it doesnt mention that in the brochure.
Hmmm...
This is confusing...
The photo doesnt appear to be the one I have booked for...
I am booked with Airtours and staying at the Alykanas Beach Village Hotel.. although it seems to be sometimes called the Alykanas Village on some of their pages.
Very confusing.
I don't think the one I am staying in has a jacuzzi... there is no mention of it in the Airtours brochure or on their website.
Chris.
I think this is the one Airtours go to...
The hotel on that website is the same as the picture on the Kosmar website, but i'm confused as well.
Hi Ali. We stayed there in 2003 when they were brand new. No trouble with noise it is in a quiet location. Short walk to towns. Pool excellent, pool bar open late with some entertainment but not noisy. Walk along the beach to the Taverna at the end and sit right by the beach to enjoy your evening meal. Wonderful
