Hi everyone

Hubby and I are going to the Conrad in September for two weeks. I'm just wondering what the dress code is for the restaurants in the evenings. Can the men wear dress shorts?

Also, is there much in the way of shops etc outside of the hotel or do we have to go to Naama Bay?

Going to Conrad on 14th July. My father is travelling with us who is diabetic and an insulin user. Can anybody tell me if there is a fridge in the room for him to keep his medication in? Also how available are snacks outside of meal times?

Really excited and can't wait to go, but need my mind settling on these areas :?

Hi :D

According to the FC/Eclipse websites snacks will be available from 4-6PM, and there will be a fridge (mini-bar) in the room.

Thanks for that Pippy. I decided to mail the hotel as well to check this out. Will post the reply when I get it, for anyone else in the same boat.

We was going to the Coral sea resort but I couldnot face going to the resort after all the information I have seen on this site with reference it would not be finished on time. I have now changed to the Conrad and I feel alot happier now with the reviews I have seen on the hotel. I am travelling with my husband and 2 children girl aged 13 and a boy aged 9. We go on the 4th august for 2 weeks from Gatwick is any other people going there that time with kids. Really looking forward to the holiday as my kids love snorkelling and swimming. Hopefully the entertainment will be better, that what has been written about the entertainment, but hopefully if there is more English going now it should be better.

So that's 4 of us going in August now. Why can't we pick a date instead of going at different times?

What time of year are dates pickable, Everest? Or do you need to consult a palm reader? :rofl

For anyone interested, you can now book the Conrad up to Oct '06 with http://www.eclipsedirect.co.uk

Price has gone up compared to what I paid for this year's holiday, but it's still cheaper than FC.

Dep Gatwick 27/07/06 14 nights 2 adults total price £1516.80

First Choice £1570.16

We have just booked the Concorde for March 2006, got a good price online with Thomas Cook.

It is nice to see so many glowing reports about the hotel.

I believe there is good snorkelling to be had from the hotels own reef. It will be so nice not to have to haul all the snorkelling on and off buses.

Does anyone know if the Conrad is available through any other TO at a lower price for Summer '06 than the one I posted earlier?

I'd like to book for next Summer, but if there's a cheaper TO out there I'd book through them rather than Eclipse.

But seriously, I think it may be worth waiting to see how the hotel performs with it's new AI deal for English visitors. At this moment I am confused how well it will work. As far as I can tell they will have FB for Italians, B&B for Russians and AI for English. I am eager to hear from guests staying this summer.
