Look what I have just found on a review web site:
Service is its middlename by Kristof Voet
Posted: 30 Apr 2004 CONRAD Sharm El Sheikh is without any doubt a 5 star hotel, except for service, at which it is able to compete with Leading 6-star Hotels. Perfect cuisine, clean up to the smallest corner, medium to large sized comfortable rooms or impeccable very large suites with separate living and dining room, clean and quiet swimming pool, very large and beautifull beach with service, airconditioning very powerfull when needed during the hottest days, ... The prices are too little compared to the level of quality and service you receive!!! This is without any doubt one of the top three hotels in Sharm El Sheikh. Dates of travel : 22 April - 29 April (2004)
Now I really can't wait - may try my sun hat for size when I get home

Hubby and I are going to the Conrad in September for two weeks. I'm just wondering what the dress code is for the restaurants in the evenings. Can the men wear dress shorts?
Also, is there much in the way of shops etc outside of the hotel or do we have to go to Naama Bay?
We are going on the 5th may and will post a complete report on hotel and facilites. Been to many other hotels A1 but not this one. Hope the booze is good. Soon find out eh!!!!
Going to Conrad on 14th July. My father is travelling with us who is diabetic and an insulin user. Can anybody tell me if there is a fridge in the room for him to keep his medication in? Also how available are snacks outside of meal times?
According to the FC/Eclipse websites snacks will be available from 4-6PM, and there will be a fridge (mini-bar) in the room.

Thanks for that Pippy. I decided to mail the hotel as well to check this out. Will post the reply when I get it, for anyone else in the same boat.

Can't wait!

Happy Birthday Lisathack!
So that's 4 of us going in August now. Why can't we pick a date instead of going at different times?
What time of year are dates pickable, Everest? Or do you need to consult a palm reader?

It is nice to see so many glowing reports about the hotel.
I believe there is good snorkelling to be had from the hotels own reef. It will be so nice not to have to haul all the snorkelling on and off buses.
Conrad Concorde
I'd like to book for next Summer, but if there's a cheaper TO out there I'd book through them rather than Eclipse.

But seriously, I think it may be worth waiting to see how the hotel performs with it's new AI deal for English visitors. At this moment I am confused how well it will work. As far as I can tell they will have FB for Italians, B&B for Russians and AI for English. I am eager to hear from guests staying this summer.
