Hi all

Many thanks for the help you gave re: currencies. It makes it a bit easier to organise.

Mike - nice work on the website, some useful tips again. All these wonderful reviews of the cruises, I already feel I know what will be happening which I like; I'm always a bit apprehensive about the unknown.

One thing I also meant to ask was whether anyone had yet stayed overnight at the Scala Nord in Milan? I know Dogleap is booked there before her cruise but has anyone aculally sampled its delights already?

I know its fairly near the San Siro and I was hoping there might have been an evening game there on the 16th but am out of luck. The ticket prices are so cheap compared to Premiership games it would have been an added bonus even if I had been in row ZZZ!!

Thanks Mike, I am going this weekend and that is the most useful description I have read yet. What is classed as informal dress code as against casual, ie is a shirt and tie required every night, or just on formal nights?

Hi

received confirmation for 7th november 2005. Nightmare scenario where never could get through to Rise Travel. Finally they told me to contact Daily Express. Spoken to Rebecca there and she advised the Director was making a decision about compensation. Anyone heard anything else or updates?

Hi Dogleap
Hope you don't mind me replying to your question.
On the formal night which is the Captains cocktail party, there was an assortment of white & black DJ's, lounge suites and jackets and trousers. All worn with bows or ties.
On the semi-formal night (which I think was Saturday) it was more lounge suits or jacket and trousers again with ties.
The rest of the nights are smart casual which means long trousers with a short or long sleeved shirt or a smart T shirt.
Quite a lot of guys who felt overly dressed for the formal/semi formal dinners changed into something more casual straight after the meals so that they could enjoy the rest of the evening in comfort.
There seemed to be no hard and fast rules except no shorts to be worn for dinner.
Hope this helps.

Yo Phil!

Happy Birthday................you can have something a little stronger tonight eh?.............Like an extra sugar in you cup of Rosie-Lee perhaps!! :rofl

I also look forward to your cruise review, which I hope will NOT include accounts of tumbling down the many stairwells to be found aboard!

dboakes,

are you saying that even after getting a confirmation they have backed out and are now talking about compensation? I don`t like the sound of that.
