Hi peeps. I'm still here ..watching every few days. Just wanted to repeat other messages and say a very Happy Christmas and Positive 2006 to all past and future cruisers. I haven't given up on the site and am waiting banners at the ready for the rallying call "storm the DE offices!!!!".

Hi everyone

I have managed to upload some photos of my wonderful Caribbean cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas. They show me and my new friend Jenny (she is the blond one, I am dark haired) having the most marvellous time. Not sure if all the captions survived the upload process, though.

There was a quick mention about the promotion on tonight's Watchdog , including the film of those people on a boat near the Express building, pleading for their cruise. The programme also repeated the fact that there are still quite a few waiting for what they were promised.

Hello, Everuyone.

Great to read how much Kay enjoyed her trip.

I've just returned from mine: it was absolutely brilliant and well -worth waiting for. The comments from past passengers on HT and similar sites about the Celebration were accurate.

The facilities were excellent - quite different from what I'd imagined. The only thing I couldn't find was the line-dancing! Didn't I read that l-d is compulsory on cruises??

The food was great and the crew amazingly cheerful: on the change-over night they all did a 21-hour shift! The places visited were fascinating (I only had to be rescued by the Police once - in Agadir). Weather was just right - only dropped below 70 once and never exceeded 80.

During the previous week a DE cruiser had called for a meetiing of all Express people - but no one turned up although, apparently, several were aboard.

Last week, I found six DE travellers - but none had heard of HT (there were probably more of us on the ship, but it's harder to spot non-solo cruisers: I met only one who'd taken advantage of the £250 supplement in order to share the cabin with his wife).

It was interesting that everyone on this promotion had a different story - yet all had got the same result. One man had successfully taken legal action against the DE, another had called at the paper's offices (and received his cruise two days later), while others had simply written nice letters or not done anything. Yet, what they achieved was identical! However, all had two things in common: a determination to get their cruises (as per the terms of the promotion) and strong feelings about the original agency.

"Why are we waiting?.." I've done everything asked of me by DE but I am still waiting for a date! They have not bothered to acknowledge receipt of my pile of copies of letters and e-mails. I feel like the little face outside the window looking in when I read all the messages about your wonderful cruises, poor orphan Annie, that's me!!!

I thought there would be a flurry of bookings after you were allocated your cruise, but unfortunately we haven't heard of anyone else being successfully booked up recently.

I think there WAS a 'flurry' of bookings - they just happened not to be HT members! On my cruise there were at least seven Express punters and there had been more the previous week. If you remember, First Choice told me that they had allocated 100 people on Thomson's cruises (perhaps, more by now).

Mai: I'm really sorry that you feel so sad - others of us know what that's like. There's not much more that you can do - short of turning up at the newspaper's offices (that certainly worked for one man!).

I do hope that you get some good news in the New Year.
