i have just spoken to a friend in hisaronu and he said last year it was £55 but still worth it for the views
Thank you
Last year there was a Microlite with a difference that took off and landed from the water in Olu Deniz. I fancied that one but finished up doing the Babadag jump instead. 11 out of 10 for that one.
I think thats what I saw parky ..am far too much of a wuss to jump of a mountain but may try that
When I put the jump suit on I could only fasten the front down one of my legs. The harness had to do the rest of the job.
You are much braver than me! I could never but must admit everyone I spoke to loved it
Hiya
He has done a tandem sky dive, but I am guessing that is nothing compared to paragliding in Olu Deniz! (He did his sky dive in Kent!) haha!
I would really love to do it, we went last year and my friend spent about 4 hours up on the mountain before being sent back down due to cloed cover (better to be safe than sorry)
Although I wasn't complaining, got spend a good few hours drinking in the Cloud 9 bar!

The entrance fee to Babadag mountain has gone up from 25 YTL to 35YTL and this year the instructors have to pay as well.
The President of the Association of Paragliders in Oludeniz made a comment that the increase in entrance fee means beheading the hen which lays the egg!
We did this years ago off of Baba Mt....and have the pictures to prove it . I was chatting to somebody about it at the gym today and they were very interested. Although they've never been to Turkey...they have done parasailing and paragliding before and have never ever been allowed to take a camera with them....safety reasons. Does anybody know if you can STILL take a camera to take photos when paragliding off Baba Mt.?
last year my husband did it and they were allowed a camera, not sure if rules have changed this year though, im sure someone thats done it this year will give you more info
Brilliant - thanks for that! We did ours about 10 years ago now. Turkey being Turkey I didn't THINK the safety rule would apply there! I'll tell this couple on Wednesday.....and no doubt they'll book to go there!!
I went this year with Focus paragliding and they took photos for me. A husband and wife team were on the beach with camers that had v long lens. They put the photos onto a CD for me. The guy who I was strapped to took a digi camcorder up with him, and he took a tremdous film which he put onto a DVD for me. Why bother spoiling the experience looking through the lens of a camera when you can get someone to do the work for you - just enjoy the ride
1) to convince myself that I could not jump off a mountain but I could run & was excellent at sitting.
2) it took my mind off the sheer drops, narrow roads and nonchalant driver....
I never, ever do fair ground rides etc (I held coats/bags for 2 weeks in Florida....) so hubby was gobsmacked that I would paraglide but I'd been looking at them all week coming gracefully over our mountain ridge and thinking how peaceful it looked and knew i'd be gutted if i came home and didn't give it a go. It was THE best. It wasn't scary it was tranquil. The views were amazing. My pilot asked if I wanted to do a spiral and I declined. I've got a fab pic on my phone of my knees and Olu lagoon, turquoise blue, below. I wouldn't have missed it for the world and would love to do it again.
Am going back for two weeks on the 14th and am determined to do it this time
Can anyone recommend any of the (many) companies that offer tandem paragliding in the area
Cheers all
