to pretttyin pink, if you liked the entertainment at the sahara then in all probabilility you will like the entertainment at the pegasus.

we went mostly to the beach bar at the tropical where they had a quiz, karaoke, and professional artists, over at the palace they had the resident duo performing by the pool, who we saw a couple of times and where excellent.

as for the amphitheatres,it was home made entertainment with tasteless games involving bottles and /or balloons, bingo and shows like grease performed by amateuers, in my opinion it was a first rate complex, in spite of its remoteness, spoiled by second rate entertainment....and i repeat i have never seen so many people playing cards in the evening than i have at the pegasus.

but in the end entertainment like everthing is a matter of choice if you like that form of entertainment, and many people did, then you will enjoy it, me i prefer something a little more professional.

cant help you about the night club. i think there was one at the palace but i,m not sure....oh and i forgot the beach party on a thursday evening. good entertainment . professional artist and a barbecue and drinks, a really good night

Of course we will have fun, With guests like us how can anyone have a bad time!

Ive looked at the website and it does look impressive, just a bit worried about the weather! The brouchure says it a lot hotter in may than the website.

Dont know what FC are doing though as some friend of ours have been trying to book since february and the 25th May has been fully booked. Ive just looked at FC website and its now open again for bookings! You would think their prices would go down but there not.

Black Knight, What were the trips like?

Well peeps it seems we'll all be there at one or another during the same time. We should arrange an HT Party! :-D
BTW I just had a look at both eclipse and first choice's website, the prices have jumped right up again! Bizarre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cheapest price for 2 weeks from 15th May is £1995, maybe they've done that deliberately so we'll stop complaining.

We went to the Tropical last year.

We have been moved to the palace now this may and yes we are still going! As i have mentioned there are a few things that are disappointing but we are going to go and have a fabulous time.

I booked pt last year and in jan i had a letter to say it was going to change to the pp because our room would not sleep 2 adults,2children.I signed and agreed to the change. Now i`m thinking that was a clever way to get me out of the pt.When i called fc they told me that i had been advised the pt would be closed and that i had signed to agree the change(which was a complete lie).My friends flight from stansted on the 8th of may has now also been cancelled fc could not advise me if my flight on the 19th june would be cancelled so i asked to transfer to another holiday (i`m not prepared to have my flight cancelled close to my holiday)they did not charge me an amendment fee but said i would have to pay the extra if my new holiday was any more money,It was quite a bit more as there are now no free child places left on most holidays. But they was prepared to pay for one child which i would of got free so it was not to much extra in the end.Pleased i`ve made the change feel the weights been lifted, now i can sit back and look forward to my holiday.I hope fc read these messages because it has made alot of people unhappy i know for sure when my holiday is over i won`t ever book with this company again.

topsey, you asked if anyone who had been before would still go if it was only half open, we stayed at the p/t last year and we loved it, we are going again in july so luckily the p/t will be open when we are there (fingers crossed anyway) we would have prefered to stay at the p/t but the rooms arnt big enough so we'll be at the p/p.
i would still go but i would be very disappointed and would expect some discount as when i booked i did so because i states in the book that you can use BOTH hotels! and also the hotels are not mirror images of each other they are totally different and IMO the pools at the p/t are better than the p/p, we spent most of our time at the p/t but it was nice to be able to wander to the palace on occasions.
there is a indoor pool at the p/p by BTW, how they are going to stop people wandering though to have a look is puzzleing me :?
i dont want to say...yas go but if it was me i would go and have a great time :)
anyone wanting to book try eclipse instead of fc they are normally cheaper
last but not least i think fc should sort themselves out and put paying guests before seeing how much money they can save......if your guests are happy they WILL return!!!!!

Holiday Truths Party would be a good idea, either that or just a get together with us and the FC Staff. That would be a good one!

I too would never book with FC again. I thought they were travel company of the year in 2004.

Sometimes I do wonder though, if this site has been a good thing or a bad thing for me. I have noticed though that it seems to have become a bit of an addiction.

I read in the brochure there is internet facilities. Could someone please update this site of whats its really like when you are there at the begining of May. Let us know if having on half of the villiage has affected your holiday, What the entertainment is like, How much money your spending, What the weather is like etc.

PP
Hi Folks Stayed at PP in September and only went to the PT a few times, for wot its worth I think the PP is the better site, the big slides at the PT in my opinion could be quite dangerous as one of them (can't remember which) is too fast and way to close to the side of the pool and an accident waiting to happen. On a lighter note, if only half of the village is open then there shouldn't be the problems like last year re towels and sunbeds!! Re the lifeguard, please don't be to complacent in the large pool with your children, my friend fished a child out of the pool who was in difficulty right under the lifeguards nose, he was to busy talking on his mobile to notice!! We had a lovely time, yes there were problems with the food etc and no we would never go back and definately never use first choice again, we met some lovely people, the weather was glorious the hotel was spotless.and the kids club excellent. To all of you going, I hope you had as good a time as we did xx

to prettyin pink the trip we liked best was the 12 island trip ( i think thats what it was called) the most dissappointing one for us was the mud bath, we booked it in sarigerme because it was cheaper but there was only four of us on the boat , and as weve got one foot in the grave and they were a honeymoon couple we didnt have to much in common. the mud baths werent what we expected them to be, and while we would have liked to have a couple of hours in dalaman (which we passed) we ended up on a stretch of beach with no shade and hot as hell.

we did a market one which was good, but thats about all we did. the 12 island trip was booked in sarigerme too and although cheaper i think its best to book with the hotel because i think the more the merrier.

but you do need to get out of the complex now and again and none of these trips are expensive.

the bus service is pretty good and incredibly cheap and you pick up the local bus outside the tropical, they take you to most places that are within reach, although i think you might have to change buses if you want to go to marmaras etc

like ive said many times before if you have kids you are going to love this place, and noone yet has disagreed with that

we fly out from leeds/bradford on 24th july we have been moved from PT to PP but by the sound of it all facilities will be open.

I have total sympathy for all those going earlier in the season and feel that FC are forgetting who pay their wages - that is us the holidaymaker.

hi barnsleycrew, did they give a reason for moving you? how many of you are going? if they have said the rooms arnt big enough why did'nt they tell you this when you booked?
when we were at the p/t last year there were four of us plus a baby in one room and we were ok :?

I really do hope that they dont fence the tropical off but something tells me Anne has been given false information from what everyone else is being advised. Has anyone had a reply from the letters and emails we have all sent to FC?

I have not had a reply to my email

I think FC are trying to get ther stories straight with all there branches :!:

Why I never questioned them when they advised me of room change due to PT rooms being unable to sleep 4 but instead paying out more money to change to a kids den :!:

I can say I have learned from my experience

Hi all

I have not been on this site for a while and after reading that the PT was going to be closed until 17th July to say I was gobsmacked was an understatement.

I have been on tp First Choice and I was told that all the facilities would be available to us including the use of the pools etc. The only thing that was closed was the actual accommodation block.

I have also been on the phone to trading standards as I thought the more people who complain the better. Looks like we will all just have to stick together on this one and see if we can't get some sort of compensation or something similar as I don't fancy changing holidays at this late stage.

Hello people

Just wondering if you can hire a car at PP/PT or hire one from nearby :?:

Roughly how much money are we looking at for 5-7 days hire :?:

Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
