Can anyone tell me what the night time flights are like on return? Our flight is at 05:50 in the morning and whilst we have a late checkout, they chouck you out at night?

Very worried about this as we have two young toddlers and they are a right handful when they are tired! There will be nowhere for them to sleep. we iwll also be knackered and fear our tempers will flare waiting arounf with two screaming kids!

*Edit to remove questions discussion on flights Briar

Thanks in advance

Hi Cathiness , glad you are having a good time, I just have one question are there beach/pool towels available to hire? Can't see any mention in the brochure.
Thanks and save some wine for me.

The kidsclub never asked us in september for excursion money. They charge for the chocolate party and one other in the eve - poss sweetie bingo or something but it is all statedon the boards, It cost us £2per child and they loved it so well worth it. This does get very busy and they could get turned away so either put name down of start queing about 20 mins before.

I never heard of them running out of the free stuff and charging you not sure where that has come from, maybe someone else found this but I really didn't so do not worry.

The only thing people complained about being charged extra on was the tom bracelets, but as I said in a prev post if you make sure you get a copy of the receipt every time you use it you should be fine to argue your case and get them to adjust the figure they have.

The beauty treatments are a little cheaper from the rep (they were last year!) you have to ask though it is not advertised as cheaper! I can not remember exactly how much, we had a turkish bath and I am sure it was around £15/20 but dont quote me on that!!!

The excursions the hotel run offer free children for those 6 and under, My 6yr old went free on them all. They may be cheaper for the town but I personaly did not feel comfortable doing them from there, not sure why as I have been to a diff place and not used the hotel one but we just prefered the hotel one this timw. The mud baths were great and not expensive and you go to turtle beach after and get time there which was lovely, the jeep safari was great the kids loved it, and again not too expensive, we can be tight so I know it was not too much!!!! :D

Hi Strewin

Thanks for the reply, this has made us feel a bit better! We went Ai as we have three children, two of them are toddlers, and when we go away it costs a fortune!

We are saving up so our eldest can do the soccor school and stagecoach, maybe some of the activites held by in2action. So as you can expect, when we read about having to pay for other items, we thought we owuld have to try and save more money!

Did you write a reivew of your holiday? I have been readign the ones posted and it has given us lots of tips.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Mcfester,

You must be on the Bristol flight as we had the same last year when we holidayed at the PP. The return transfer was at 2.30am so at a cost of £40 per room we had booked in advance with FC a late checkout which as it turned out would only secure the room till 6.00 pm.

I asked reception if we could hold the room over until midnight and was told we could but at a cost of another £40! We declined and spent the evening in Sarigerme but this still left us with a further 3 hours wait at the PP.

On our previous experiance of AI, £35 secured the room until we transfered out so was shocked to say the least at the £80 charge just for a further 12 hours. No problems this year as although we are on the same flight, we are returning to the £35 late checkout!

Enjoy your Holiday.

Just one little tip to all that have booked a late check out...

If it is the same as last year!!! Go back to your room just after midday as last year it seemed they done a mass sweep of all rooms and de-activated ALL keycards...it wasn't a problem as we just went down to reception and got them activated again but we foundthis out as I needed to go to the room just before lunch but when we went back to our rooms for showers etc at 5ish there were huge queues trying to get their cards sorted...as you can imagine it was bedlam and true to PP style last year the staff weren't in any hurry :? (this could save you a lot of fuss if like us you like to make the most of your last day)

Also we were there last year at the end of July, and whilst we found we were queueing for up to 20-30 mins we never experienced them running out of anything completely... sometimes we found that they would run out of something behind the bar and take an abosolute age to return with more :?

Another thing we found last year... don't go to evening dinner at the last minute, we did and found they didn't replace anything that had run out so was left with very little to choose from (eneded up with nothing actually cos it was all :swear

It does sound like it is better this year and I certainly hope so for all you going...but after my experience last year I will wait with baited breath to see what happens in the peak months

we will be a party of 7 going to the PP at the start of July. 2 of us could happily just eat fish every day, 4 of us will be quite happy to not eat meat one day of the week, but 1 of us doesn't eat fish at all. Was the 'fish only' thing at all the restaurants too each Friday or just the main buffet?

Samantha J, I have asked this question time and time again but no-one seems to want to give any answers to this! If you find out let me know please. Sue.

we were there in september and had meat and fish everyday, cant understand how they would only do "just fish"unless it was a religouse time of the month, there was also a chef who made fresh pizza everyday so you would have had that choice too!!we went in september, whether that makes any diffrence i dont know,oh for those with late flights we to had a 3.30am flight,we kept room till 6pm and did not have to have our card alterted(so they must have improved this service)at 6 we then joined many others to put our luggage outside a room(as the room was cramed full of ppls luggage) was not keen on leaving it there, but had locks on suitcases so felt they would be safe ,spent most of the night watching shows,we saw the foam party but could not get involved as we flew back same night, but still ened up sitting in lounge chairs for a couple of hours waiting for coaches...have to say was only me and hubby on our honeymoon, but i would never do flights at these times again(going we got there at 3 am)to tirering....

Hi DONM1

I am also going with a 5yr old and a 1yr old (literally just 1 2days before we go) not until august thou.
I believe you can get cows milk but it tastes different to ours so your baby might not drink it....i am personally taking pre made cartons of baby milk so i know he will drink it but obviously if your baby is already on cows milk thats a bit difficult.
I asked Mustafa the guide from Sarigerme and he told me there are about 5 shops selling baby supplies in Sarigerme my baby doesnt eat jars just food i make so im hoping i should just be able to feed him from hotel with fresh stuff but i asked Mustafa just incase i needed to get him something from the shop as the evening meals will be too late for him im a little worried thou as he has never had "baby food" so im hoping i dont need to buy him any incase he doesnt like it!!!! Anyway you should be able to get jars and yoghurts etc in the local shops i would just take a couple to last the first few days.......i was going to pack some longlife yoghurts and those fruit pots that dont need to go in fridge in handluggage for an emergency.
There is someone off here going this month i think it is Kelly with a baby so im waiting to hear how she got on when she gets back.
When you get back if you have any tips or ideas for me i would love to hear them.
Happy holidays
Vicky

hi domn1, we went in oct and the shops didnt sell many baby products but they didnt have much of anything cos it was the end of season, my daughter was only 10 months and i took jars of babyfood and longlife yogurts (the ones vicky has already suggested) as for the milk i took powdered milk and my older kids said the milk tasted funny but didnt try it myself.
there is alot of fresh fruit and veg and cereals and lovely fresh bread and pastries.

the late checkout...we were flying back in the early hours of the morning so had a late checkout on the room (we did have to re-activate the card after dinner) but in the evening its the same as any other night, you get your all inclusive food and drink till the second you leave and when the kids got tired they lay on the sofas and went to sleep and i woke them 10 mins before coach was due so they could use the loos. hope this helps :)

Been reading older posts, I am very worried to read that there is mass ear infections and tummy bugs (In August 2005). Can any recent travellers comment on this, has it been sorted out? Why did so many people have ear infections?

Also, has the sunbed and food situation been sorted out yet? Not a problem if it hasent, just looking at the gripes from last season?

Cheers
