Hi Sarah,
I have to be honest and say there were approx between 2 - 4 weddings a day at the sands. We were worried about it at the time because obviously you want the day exclusively to yourself but on the day you don't even notice because everyone is kept seperate, the timings are staggered and you don't really see any of the other parties ( well we didnt ). I will say though if you get married on the seaview deck you get a lot of the holiday makers standing at the side and by the beach watching your wedding ( we did ourselves for other weddings ) but the way the deck and guests are seated you wont get any pot bellied men in dodgy speedos in your photos at all. Just enjoy the moment cos if you blink you'll miss it ( the ceremony is only about 7 minutes long ). You'll have a fantastic time. We sat with most of the wedding couples around the pool throughout the two weeks and every one said it was the best they could've wished for.
You also might want to email the manager of the hotel ( his name escapes me but you can find it on grecian sands website ) if you plan to have your reception there after to confirm as it's a first come first served basis.
CJS1973 just wanted to say congratulations and how lovely your wedding looked photos were amazing so lovely and the sunset ones bought a tear to my eye wonderful
It's my first wedding anniversary today!
This time last year, we were just finishing of our meal on the wooden terrace at the Golden Coast Hotel, which followed our chapel wedding.
We booked through First Choice.
So if anyone has any questions on Golden Coast, First Choice, chapel wedding, procedures etc, please feel free to PM me!
Enjoy your weddings!
Samantha

We can decorate the restaurant any style you wish, to any budget. We can use candles, fabrics, flowers, whatever you prefer. I will be happy to help you with whatever you want. Please appreciate though that this an impartial, independent site & that I can only address specific enquiries like this when submitted via my company, as we do not use this forum to advertise.
We are getting married on 3rd September 2007 at St Pauls in Kato Paphos and were wondering whether anyone arranged their wedding with St Pauls Travel and if they were good. Also if anyone knows of a good hotel for approx 50 guests to stay that caters for children and adults eg entertainment, lovely rooms, pool etc. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks x
As you live in Cyprus I was wondering if you knew of any good resturants for a small reception near to Nissi Beach hotel, nissi bay.
Annette
Lynsey, will be happy to help with the restaurant, but you will need to contact me either by phone or e-mail through my website (listed on this profile).
Annette, best suggestion I can think of (as I also live in Cyprus) is the Palazzo Bianco Restaurant in Ayia Napa (near the square).
You can contact them on 00357 23-721942 0r 00357 99625110 & just ask for Savvas & tell him you were referred by me (hopefully he will quote you a good price, this way!).
Do you have to get married in the hotel you are staying in or a there other options. We've been told you can arrange it yourself when you get there but will cost £170. Help please.
We are staying in the Atlantica hotel and apts in Limasol, booked through Thomsons but there is no mention of weddings at this hotel.
Cazz
Everything is possible here in Cyprus ! It is a free world, at the end of the day.
You can check to see if the Atlantica has an in-house wedding organizer at http://www.atlanticahotels.com. E-mail is info@atlanticahotels.com. Tel: +357 25883500.
Alternatively, you could easily stage your wedding at either Yermasoyia Town Hall (in Limassol) or Limassol Town Hall & just use the Atlantica Hotel for your accomodation & the reception. I will be happy to help you with any of this if you want.
Im getting married at Nissi Beach in september. Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant for a reception in the area? Something traditional ideally, or with a nice view? Also, can anyone recommend a photographer? The one we wanted is booked up! We are planning it ourselves so any advice would be great! Also our wedding is at midday, so does anyone have any suggestions to keep the celebrations going?!!
Vic
I am happy to answer each of your points in turn :
(1) Nice retaurants close to Nissi Beach include, Palazzo Bianco, Vassos Fish Harbor Restaurant, Diva Restaurant, Koutouki Tavern & marquis de Napa amongst many others.
(2) There are lots of wedding photographers who work in Ayia Napa. I will be happy to refer you to one we use, if you want.
(3) If you are getting married at Midday, I would recommend that you finish the wedding & the reception, go back to your hotel or pub/taverna for drinks & then go out to a club or restaurant with your guests. This is a proven path to a successful wedding day, trust me.
Has anyone been married at Alexander the Great's grounds? And/or had there reception here? We have booked to go beginning of May 07, does anyone know what the weather is like at this time of year? Any feedback for prices for reception or what the gardens or gazebos are like much appreciated!
Cheers
Mariec
